Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Pretty much confirmed we're getting Goldberg vs Reigns and Fiend vs Cena.
On a more positive note, Omega vs PAC in AEW was Omega's best match since leaving NJPW. He used to have matches like that twice a week in the G1. Revolution has had great build up, looking forward to it.

Told ya Goldberg was winning.
Goldberg v. Reigns = money
+ Taker, Cena and Lesnar. All we need is the Rock to return.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
WWE gonna WWE.
They built up The Fiend for months as this unstoppable monster, only to have him lose to a 50-something year old guy.
They managed to not force Reigns on anyone for a year, only to have main even WM again and probably win the title.
This is just a band-aid for their ratings and network subscribers declining. Short-term there could be a boost but long-term WWE are dying a slow and painful death because of these decisions.

Can see Goldberg getting booed now at Mania. Maybe that's what they wanted vs Reigns? Either way they'll both be booed.
Bray might be even more over, similar to Bryan.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
They're honestly so lucky the TV deals are absurdly stupid.
Everything else is massively down because of their refusal to build anything.
It's almost like they don't realise that the Attitude Era blew up like it did because they let the old guys go and built new ones.
But ever since then they've done everything possible to do the exact opposite of what gave them success to begin with.
If they do realize it then they just don't give a shit.

What you mean? People haven't booed him for years. He's been liked since his open challenge US title run.

It's so dumb that the Fiend would point to the sign btw lol.
It's completely against his character, would have been better if he just attacked Cena.

Was thinking that, but they probably thought attacking him would be too generic. Pointing works with this more mysterious character imo.

Yea but can't remember the entire arena chanting his name and booing when he hinted at leaving.
All he deserves

I watched the near 30 minute hype package on their YouTube channel.
It was really well made, especially considering i haven't watched AEW in like a month.

Hangman has come a long way btw, legitimately over.
Next time he gets a World Title shot it was be deserved and nobody is going to complain.
That's how you build babyfaces that you want to push.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Hangman always had a great look now he's getting a storyline and character arc that is making him legitimately interesting.
Jericho had a great run with the belt but they had to pull the trigger on Mox. I imagine Mox holding it for a while until he drops it to Kenny who will then drop it to either Cody/Hangman.
Mox -> Omega -> Heel Cody -> Face Page -> MJF
That's how I would have the title succession play out.

Heel Cody is interesting, although i think i want to wait longer before building to a Cody title match again after the last stipulation.
I guess that would depend how long the Mox and Omega title runs are.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
I watched all of Revolution last night.
Despite not keeping up with any of the storylines, the storytelling in the Omega/Hangman vs Bucks match was so good I understood everything that was at stake for these guys.
The only thing I disliked about it was the sheer number of false finishes. I was burning out during those final ten minutes after the 20th, maybe 30th kick-out. But I'm learning this is just a feature of any match featuring Omega and the Bucks and it's a small price to pay for seeing those guys perform.
Cody vs MJF was okay. MJF is a proper scumbag heel and main event material. Cody didn't come out well, though (and not just because of his tattoo). The live entrance was terrible, him coming out with a large entourage was weird considering MJF only had one guy in his corner, and Brandi/Anderson were there at ringside. Then he gets away with two whips with the weight belt while MJF didn't get one because the ref took it away before he had the chance. I know AEW plays fast and loose with the usual rules but this feels like it should have been No DQ from the start.
Jericho vs Moxley wasn't a pretty match and had an abrupt finish, but the right guy won, at least. Also didn't realise how into Jericho's entrance music the crowd is.
The real star of the night, though? Orange Cassidy. That guy is gold. Putting his hands in his pockets got the loudest cheer of the night and his performance even had JR in stitches.
Strong show. Looking forward to Blood and Guts.
Also, seeing rumours of Broken Matt joining AEW now.

Pardon my language but HOLY SH*T!!! @jimmyfallon as if I couldn’t love you any more!! @bts_bighit @BTS_twt are huge @WWE fans!! 🤯🤯🤯 Hope one day we can meet!! You’re amazing Jimmy Fallon! @FallonTonight #BTSArmy https://t.co/jTC6u4uWYw
— John Cena (@JohnCena) February 25, 2020
If Vince has any sense, he has to do all he can to get BTS to do Cena's entrance in Wrestlemania. That will get WWE the mainstream attention they so desperately crave. I don't listen to K-Pop at all but I don't live under a rock and recognize BTS is the biggest band in the world right now.
Watch WWE get Flo Rida/Kid Rock instead.

Holds more truth for the Bucks than Omega. Omega's finisher has never been kicked out of except once early in his career. I did not mind any of the near falls except for the one after Omega and Page hit their tag team finisher. Its never been kicked out of ever before this match. Still the match was fantastic, the best tag team match I've seen ever.
Cody really needs a filter. He is such a tryhard. He tries to be Triple H but that awful neck tattoo, godawful live performance and average match made him Triple L instead
