Mattéo Guendouzi

Kid deserves his own thread.

Age 19, joined Arsenal in summer from Lorient in Ligue 2, safe to say noone expected to see much from, or even of, him right away.

After half a season, he's got 20 starting appearances in central midfield already, 13 of which in the league.

While he has surely much to improve still, and while it may reflect badly on Arsenal's squad that a kid like him is thrown in like that, I must admit that I find him very, very impressive.
Great and confident passer, physically relatively strong, but above all I sense a Kimmich-esque attitude of being present and taking responsibility.

At such a young age, at a new club, at such a new level and competition, this can only be praised.

Kid is a hero and a warrior

It‘s funny that we weren‘t going to sign him initially, it only happened after Yacine Adli rejected us by signing a new contract at PSG.

And now that dude is wondering why he‘s not even in the squad all season while Guendouzi is starting PL games.

As for Guendouzi, he has a lot to work on obviously but his potential is amazing, another gem found by Sven Mislintat

LOL, Arse getting out-skilled by the likes of Noble, Rice, Snodgrass, Caroll... I dont think this has ever been said in the history of football, but Arsenal need to play Ozil.  No skill otherwise on this jobber team.  Ozil is the definition of a "Luxury Player", but the Arse look so dumb and lost without him.  And what is the deal with being offside by a metre every time, do they not get the offside rule?

I don't know what some are expecting of a 19 year old kid who's only been a pro for 2 years and had a grand total of 8 Ligue 1 games before this season.

Talented.  But raw and a kid.  CB and CM are the hardest positions to excel at as a kid.  

He still has a ways to go but I wouldn't write him off now lol.

Very inconsistent. He was great against Spurs but I have yet to be that impressed with him when I watch him other than last week.

Young though, he will mature with time and be a potentially great CM.
