Since after 1966, only Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Netherlands have played in a World Cup final match.

That's TWELVE world cup finals, TWELVE tournaments....just being circulated among 7 countries when it comes to the final match.

If Russia beats Spain today, we'll already be guaranteed a FRESH FACE in the World Cup final for the first time since 1966. God bless that half of the draw!

That tournament was so bad, I have erased it from my head Very Happy . Literally the only thing memorable about it was Suarez vs. Ghana.

The champions winning by scoring 8 goals...even South Africans have most likely forgotten about it.

I think Croatia will actually make the final, this side of the bracket is just too easy for them not to.

I actually fancied England causing an upset playing counter attack against some of the name teams  but against the likes of Colombia, Croatia Switzerland etc where they'd consider themselves favourites? Nah. I can see us getting countered badly and our players facing 11 men behind the ball that they're expected to beat and freezing. Colombia game will tell us everything about England, Croatia should be lock on for the semis.

Would Spain with their awful sideways passing be special? What makes a team special? Why can't an underdog be special? Surely if they make the final, they become special? What is the meaning of life?

It's obvious who are the fans of super teams with competitions like this.

People complaining about competition and smaller teams succeeding is unbelievably precious tbh.
