Definitely the latter. The prospect of jail is not something to trifle with, I would have bail one time too. In any case, they Croatian lawmakers are gonna find the lowest possible punishment to give him as I doubt they'll be giving WC Golden Ball winner Modric hard jail.

remember Nick we had an argument about Vinicius being winger or a forward? Looks like I was right on the money. The club views vinicius as a forward being put in the strikers list. if I were to make a guess on his future. I would say wide forward to be specifc his role here at this club. though he COULD play cf. but i think rodrygo would be more suited for that role.

that list reveals some insight into roles. asensio is a part of the midfield as I suspected. hm... considering lopetegui favoring spanish, how will the lineup and formation look like when the season starts that favors isco and asensio when we have reports that Benz and Bale is our attack...?

Vinicius is a forward. forward doesnt necessarily translate into 9. and we cannot fathom what the club plans to do with him. for he has not yet played a single minute for us. for all we knew we could convert him to a different position right now. you say this nick but remember isco was a natural am when he came here. we have since kept him in cm and we did the same with james even though he was inconsistent as cm.

with the speed that vincius has, he must be put on the front out wide where it will be most useful. you speak of a winger in the traditional winger sense. and therein lies the problem: we dont use traditional wingers here. we leave that for marcelo and carjaval pushing up.

He played I think 2 times at fullback due to injuries... and it was a disaster, most notably against a Juve.

He's a winger, not a striker, though.

Yes of course, I didn't mean he is a fullback but I meant that he has played the opposite part of the pitch basically. Like you said, he is a winger first and foremost

Vasquez is a literal utility guy there is no role defined for him. a literal jack of all trades master of none. he's more or less deployed on the wing just for his work-rate and nothing else.

in any case the one I'm paying most attention to right now is Vinicius as I think depending on his performance will decide whether or not we sign a new forward.

the utter lack of movement from the club in the market... are we waiting to see what vinicius can contribute before  making a final decision? Higuain was originally a Winger before; he was a forward. so any nonsense on him not being able to play CF is ridiculous. Vinicius will be converted like Higuain to whichever role based on his strengths and suits our system best be it WF or CF.

that is the future I see for him. I hope he does well as personally I think his future is WF as thats where the trend is heading.

There were reports some days ago that lopetegui was training the BBV together so I suspected we're gearing for a 433. I see that has continued today. good. I hope Vinicius develops well into the WF role. because when Marcelo is available, Vinicius needs to just focus on attacking cutting inside. his dribbling and speed will be an asset in attack. the finishing can be learned with time. He showed great desire in training. I hope he explodes as we needed more speed and in particular dribbling on the flanks.

all i expect today are signs of juego de position, i at least want to see that the team is working on that
