Re: Thomas Tüchel's adventures in Paris
Poverty team
Tuchel has done absolutely nothing special so far in PSG and a lot of their success is Mbappe saving their ass in the last 1 and a half season. He makes changes and has odd tactical quirks literally for the sake of it.
Good manager but no point hyping him beyond what he has done let alone his career.

Last I checked PSG progressed but ok I'm sure you guys are right and he actually just makes changes for the sake of it and has lost the locker room.

Where was Mbappe last night? I‘m assuming you didn‘t watch the game. No Thiago Silva, no Verratti, no Mbappe, no Icardi.
Still dominant and strong defensively. Fantastic performance despite missing several key players. Tuchel is elite, he‘ll prove it again in the next round, if there‘ll be one.

Re: Thomas Tüchel's adventures in Paris
to be elite he has to play a few finals and maybe win one. Let's see if he does.urbaNRoots wrote:Arquitecto wrote:Poverty team

I'm not speaking of last nights match nor does it warrant a look given Dortmund are not a top team despite being obviously impressive.
One off-game from Mbappe does not negate from what he has done. And that is a sample size of one match
Elite? What in his career has he remotely done to be considered an elite coach? Please please name the reasons let alone one. His last coaching stint was underwhelming despite some circumstances against his favour (Watze) along with an easy route for the Pokal win.
His potential is obvious but overhyping him especially when his man managing ranges from simp to tyrant.

Re: Thomas Tüchel's adventures in Paris
What an absolute fraud lmao
Imagine your tactics being "Pls mbappe n neymar do something for me".
Win for football that he didn't win the CL. Sack hopefully.

Re: Thomas Tüchel's adventures in Paris
Not sure how you can laugh at Tuchel?
Reached a CL final with Kehrer, Bernat, Herrera, Gueye
There‘s a reason why they extended him, he‘s no where near close to getting sacked.
The better team won, but PSG can‘t be ashamed of their performances this year. Tuchel remains top class.

Re: Thomas Tüchel's adventures in Paris
I feel like reaching a final with a team that never did that is okay, even if the match plan looked shaky, they only lost by one goal, and they had decent chances.

Yeah don't seem to understand the hate here. He's been there best manager since the takeover.

Re: Thomas Tüchel's adventures in Paris
Yeah obviously he could do better, but he also isn't doing badly, and there aren't that many world class coaches out there. I mean sure if you can get Klopp, sack Tuchel, but you can't, so don't.

Re: Thomas Tüchel's adventures in Paris
He's the only one (I think) since the take over to get them past the QF stage tbh. Did relatively well given that PSG's squad building is shit.
I mean, all that money spent on both Neymar and Mbappe but you have Marquinhos in midfield & Kehrer and Bernat as your starting full backs?

The teams the other PSG managers faced were much better though Doc not to mention capitalising on the Covid Champions League route does place them in a higher pedestal.

Rumours about he leaves but frankly I 'd not understand.
It's the first time that PSG didn't look like as a cyrcus in Europe

Totally agreed but that's technicalities which RG was suppose to ban from this forum years ago.
Not exactly a fan of how he would just randomly change his entire schematics or the fact he gives Neymar way too much freedom but he did alright.

Kind of odd timing, isn't it?
Maybe it was because of this?

Thomas Tuchel in quotes to Sport 1 yesterday:
— Get French Football News (@GFFN) December 24, 2020
"To be completely honest, during the first six months, I said to myself: "Am I still a manager or am I a politician in sport, a Minister for Sports? In a club like this, it is not always just about football." https://t.co/G1otKjJDPE
