Resident Evil 7 is in development and will be announced next month at E3 2016, according to Japanese analyst Serkan Toto.

Writing on Twitter today, he also revealed that the game will return to the franchise's horror roots, and that Capcom has hired designer Jordan Amaro to work on it. He's no stranger to big-name franchises, as he also worked on 2015's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Don't even see the point of having a 7th one when no one even knows what is going on in terms of continuity.

I think Resident Evil 7 is just the name the bloke is using tbh, if what he's saying is true it sounds like a reboot more than anything tbh.

I'll believe it when i see it though, i just don't think it's past the point of no return. If Tomb Raider taught me anything it's that no game is.

will watch Sony's live of course, bit annoying though that a lot of the stuff we saw revealed last year we haven't seen or even heard of since that same event, par for the course these days I suppose though. Hope Bethesda reveal new Elder Scrolls and it turns out F4 was developed by their B team or something, can't see it happening tbh but it has been about 5 years since the last one, would like to see a trailer with a 2017 release date or something.

Still holding out hope that Horizon is 2016 tbh. #Bolieve

Resident Evil badly needs a reboot.

Hope we see God of War IV and RDR3.

It doesnt even need to go back to horror roots, they did an amazing job with RE5, still is one of the best coop games ever IMO, sure it was more action oriented but thats fine because the gameplay was fun, and working with your friend to not die was fun. Yeah, yeah RE4 is still king and a horror masterpiece but RE5 was a breath of fresh air and actually did good.

RE6, looked like absolute dogshite, ran like absolute dogshite, and the story was absolute dogshite. (wesker son????) anyways, hope they do something similar to RE5, seemingly unlikely atm

Dontnod is really good at making games from fringe ideas though, i have to admit i never thought a game with time travel mechanics and a high school teenager photographer as protagonist would become so good.

Does Rockstar say anything at E3? I mean, will we hear anything about the new Red Dead game?
