Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Zidane has the Italian style of coaching. Pragmatic and cautious. Looks like shit sometimes but it gets results. Until it doesn’t.

Motivation, squad management, hell, tactical nuance are all quite fine but you can literally see that whatever is being coached is extremely poor. And even with this lose, I'm still confident Zidane is gonna end up winning a trophy at the end of the season.
Almost sure of it...
What is it supposed to be? I think people rate him for the things you listed but no one considers him a tactical mastermind
Honestly, I kinda expect by now his Madrid side to do something a bit more than just crossing.

Despite the win
Despite the 3 UCLs
Despite the 2 La Ligas
.... we are still playing such horrible ugly football... even Pellegrini had us playing sexy football compared to this.
Last time RM played some beautiful football... was 2013-14.

Again, if you watch Madrid play now, we play as if we are poorly coached. From a defensive and offensive perspective.
All in all, Zidane is gonna find a way to win a trophy. I don't know how but he is gonna do it.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Does he even have to do anything? We looked like shit after Hazard got injured back during the end of 2019. The veterans that we are so reliant on these days, looked tired and jaded. We needed a break.. and then, a friggin global pandemic erupted ffs I don't think we looked great after the season resumed, but we looked far more solid, largely thanks to our veterans being in much better shape. And we won the league! Can't make this shit up.

Zidane said this when we were down 10 points and everyone thought the league was over.
“I vindicate myself and this club. We won this league last season. Us. Real Madrid. We have earned the right to attempt to defend our title this season. At least this year. You’re right that in the summer there will need to be changes. Let this squad fight this league, the same squad that won the league last year, not 10 years ago. Last year.”

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Zidane has u guys playing very effective and especially when it counts though, so prolly underappreciated as usual. I still dont understand how at times vs lower teams he gets it completely wrong, but vs top teams he often gets things right
Hes able to extract the best out of what he has thats for though.
One thing I really like about him as well is just his class of temperament, when managing the press, and probably all round - strong when he needs to be, but u never see him losing his composure. Except once I saw him do back flip on the side line after Real scored a goal I think it was last season or so.

According to Goal Espagne et Onda Cero, Zidane told his players this past weekend that he will be leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Thank god. I will have no reason to support this *bleep* of a club while Florentino Perez is president.

The final straw for me was his interview as well. I mean I had stopped watching our games way before his interview for obvious reasons, but his super league elitist, entitled crap was the fuck-it-I'm-out moment for me.
I'll continue to support the club of course (couldn't stop even if I forced myself to), but I don't watch our games anymore and I will not do it as long as he's the president. Can't even remember the last time I posted in the Madrid section.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Ffs, the guy can never stay at the helm for more than 3 seasons.
Thank you anyways, stabilised the team twice after we had coaches who absolutely obliterated our reputation. I will forever be grateful for what he achieved with this team. Best coach in our history.
Time for Raul to step up.
A host of players need to leave with Zidane, we can't afford another season with the same shitty bench. Marcelo, Isco, Mariano, Asensio need to leave for our and their sake. Would lol hard if we got Ronaldo back with Raul

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Apparently Zidane is leaving with immediate effect. The conversation must've gone:
Zidane: we need to refresh the squad
Perez: don't worry Hazard and Bale will come back like new signings. We will let Ramos leave to fund their salaries
Zidane: I need quality, not a golfer and a super size
Perez: don't worry, we can squeeze another season out of the veterans
Zidane: ok, feck this shit. I am out
Perez: see you in a couple of years when we've hit rock bottom

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Yes, I just read the article.
I'll forever be grateful to him for everything he has done.
Obviously, I do believe he should've done better with the 300m he was given to rebuild the squad, and I also do believe that he had no excuse not to win the league this year.
But overall, I admire him for the calm and class he brings, for his fearlessness in coming back with no hesitation to try and help the club in such a difficult moment.
I think he certainly has his flaws, but the man deserves a fucking standing ovation for the fairy tale he handcrafted for Madrid.
I hope he doesn't come back as long as Florentino is president. He deserves much better.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Imagine Conte or something at Real, would be a gamble and fans wont like the football
Kind of sad to see him go, respect to Zidane, hes always class and gets the best out of his team, but this season probably hes responsible for some mistakes too, especially leaving the squad too thin.
Lets see whos more shit next season, us or Real or Atletico looool...

Arguably the greatest manager we have had at the club. It’s amazing to have the legacy he had as a player and then do what he did as a coach. He will be missed because eventually we got used to him subbing Lucas Vasquez in

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Sometimes being a coach of RM takes a toll on a managers mental health. Zidane has had no support from the club while the media were out with forks and knives. But I hope he knows that the fans absolutely adore him as a coach as well as the players. We have never had this much tranquillity in the team apart from when we had Carlo. Our most successful coach ever. Too bad he left without getting that league trophy. He'll probably be back again in a few season when we are in turmoil
I will never accept Conte as a coach. I'd rather have Solari back. The most logical choice since Allegri is taking over Juve is Raul. I know that he's still green but the alternatives are dire. Either Raul or Carlo back with Raul as his deputy until he takes over
Knowing the changes that are needed, Perez will probably be angling for the Mou mini me, oh God this is going to be excruciating
