im not trying to be a dick or anything, but im sure if suarez or aguero missed those chances non of you would care, just like no one cared when suarez miss like 3 sitters against atleti, a couple days ago, i get it every time benzema misses is a special case where no other strike would miss but him.

hope we sell him next summer seriously...

Well, it was a perfectly weighted, pin-point cross. I didn't expect him to score, but I did expect him to actually hit the goal, with everything accounted for. I do not hope we sell him, I don't know why'd you'd want that. His missed header just really surprised me, is all. I was certain that it would end up in the back of the net.

fair enough my opinion is more dedicated towards the lamenting, that always happens when he misses, im not defending bad misses, im just saying even if he did convert it, its not like he is gonna be considered a great scorer either, he put away a lot of those crosses before in tougher games, no one cared which is what my point is all about, some posters would just wait for another miss to lament over, before they ever say he is a great cf fact.

If some of these posters would put the same critical analysis, towards every miss of the striker they favored, without nonsense aggression, instinct, hunger,etc...., to fill in the gaps, they would think that cf was shit fact.

all in all typical bad miss/misses from any striker it happens, the less the better, but at least he is getting on the end of them chances Cool

as far as benzema's miss goes, when we end up running away with the game, or have a healthy lead, i pay little attention to misses. he had a good game, and i trust he'll do better on the chances next time. it only bothers me when the game ends in a draw, a loss, or if it was close and could have cost us OR if its becoming a pattern.

with that being said, i will not lambaste suarez, messi, aguero, costa, neymar or any other striker for missing during the season. especially messi, suarez and neymar, why? because they do NOT play for madrid, them missing chances is no concern of mine nor our club, hell if they play for barca, i want them to miss every open net chance possible. as the season commences my primary concern is with our players. when it ends and we are analyzing the my 'right back is better than yours' thread, then i can blast players from other clubs who miss chances. a good game today, let's hope we can keep the intensity even though we've got some players who injured/ with knocks

Not much else though. Lucas shouldn't start again. Kovacic was resten and looks much better. We have much better options.

I don't think Rafa envisioned he would have such a stinker. Poor guy, hopefully he builds on this and Rafa doesn't toss him in the bin.

wouldn't be too hard on lucas he was trying to impress tbh, but jese should play he is great at RW and experienced, props to rafa for giving him a legit chance.

I would really just have wanted to see his performance as a sub maybe, in a game that wasn't over before he came on.
This should've been a game he could start without damaging us, didn't turn out that way though.

1-Navas (saved every shot that our sleeping defence let through)
2-Varane (the only alert defender)
3-Isco (most effective attacker, shouldve had a penalty in the second half)

Honourable mentions: Benz (scored the winner), Kovacic (brought calmness and better passing when our players were panicking)

If I had my way I would only have Navas in there. The rest did more bad than good. Glad we kept Navas, he has never done anything wrong and he proves doubters wrong every game)
