Just like the decisions which went against us. Shit happens.Spurs did what they could, should of finished 4th, but it is what it is. More consistency during the season and we would of finished comfortably in the top 3 and possibly in the top 2.
We should have finished 2nd. But it is what it is. If we had a better start, we would finished 2nd.I have no doubts we'll finish 4th we were better than Arsenal then and we are better than Arsenal now. The only teams that concern me are City and Chelsea. City because they are more talented than everyone else, and Chelsea just because they always give us a hard game just like City.
At no point you were better than Arsenal. If you were, you wouldn't have lost the 9 points lead you had over us after the 2nd NLD. That is the fact, not an opinion.
Next season? We will talk who has a better team in 2 weeks.
We would have finished 2nd too if it weren't for that blip of RDM's screw up & Rafa just coming in
FFS we would have won the league. Afterall we were topping the league before that period
That logic just doesn't work. Not in a league of 38 matches, Motogp.

Their position was justified.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:
Tbf they did finish 4th twice under Arry and were very unlucky not to do so last season.
Its not that outlandish at all and out of the challengers they have strengthened the most by far.

scored less and conceded more goals than arsenal, yet you were still better than them. #TheLogicOfAspursFan

£50m looooooollllll.
The best player in the League is worth about £65m+ when you see the prices Falcao and Cavani are going for.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Well those clubs don't have the prestige of a club like Madrid, Milan, Man Utd etc.. Those clubs need to overpay to get those kind of players really, its not like those two players were worth their transfer fees also
It's not like Bale is a Ballon D'or winner or anything like that either

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
So how much do you guys reckon that Bale is seriously upset and trying to push his way out and fulfill his dream of playing at Madrid is true and how much to you think it's the media blowing it up?
Cause i read all kinds of reports on this and they are all kind of saying different storys. One thing is for sure, Real Madrid wants him and put in a monster bid. But how much is the Bale is upset at Spurs for not accepting and wants to force a way out is true? With Modric it was pretty obvious it was all real that he wanted to leave at any costs. Not sure I'm getting the same vibe with Bale tbh. What's ya'lls take?

They were better than you for half way through the season, or they wouldn't have had a 9 point lead on you. At the end of the day, they bottled it. But they have a squad as good, if not better, to be honest. Majority of the squad just lack the mentality to go forward. That's why the likes of Bale, Modric etc have carried them in the past in recent years and left.

Take Bale out of the team and Spurs could, realistically, find themselves in the bottom half of the table. But they somehow have a squad as good, if not better, than us

You could of said the same thing with RvP and Arsenal 2 years ago.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Except we DID lose RVP and, despite everyone predicting doom and gloom, we didn't Same way we didn't crumble when we lost Henry, Fabregas, Nasri, Adebayor, Overmars, Bergkamp etc. etc. Spurs have shown that, without Bale, the team struggle to break down even the most mediocre of defences. Whether they like it or not, Spurs are a one man team

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Arsenal likely win the EPL once or twice if they don't keep losing their best players. As it stood, they managed to maintain their level as the 3rd or 4th team in EPL.
More concerned about the accounting philosophy as opposed to winning trophies at Arsenal. There's a happy medium somewhere... don't need to be extremist.

Bale had the same influence on Spurs than RvP did with Arsenal.
There is no way you can state Spurs will struggle to finish in the top half because Bale has left. No chance.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
It amuses me how people think if Bale left Spurs would get nothing in return.
Every bloody time a big name player leaves for a big fee the reactions are the same that some how said team will just stand there do nothing and pocket the money.
You would think people would learn.....

BBC:
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is adamant Gareth Bale will not be sold, despite the Welshman indicating he wants to speak to Real Madrid.

I hope Spurs don't sell him just to show they won't be bullied by Real Madrid and Bale's ego.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Spurs would do good business selling Bale.
I mean 80mil pounds is a lot of money...
That can buy a Bale reinforcement and then another 3 or 4 really good players to fill in elsewhere...
There's no guarantee he will be as good a player next season. If he doesn't perform as well, his value will decrease dramatically...
Not to mention what they'd save on wages.

Absolutely. But lets not stop there, lets end all relations with Tottenham and (any future Levy directed club). They buy no players from us, we buy no players from them.

That would hurt Real Madrid more than it would Spurs.
