Wasn't a patch on 4, had some great moments as you'd expect but this was a bit of a convoluted mess with no real progress ever being made.

- Would've been better if they let Frank go about destroying democracy from within, like they hinted at with his 'Underwood 2016, 2020, 2024' etc speech. Instead after defeating the Conways they just dragged out 40000 impeachment storylines that were equally boring and pointless. Show might've been better off concluding at S4.

The only 2 things that sort of pushed me to finish watching were (a) drawing parallels with what has been going on in the Trump administration (Spacey recently said that they scripted the season 15 months prior to its launch, and that gives it a prophecy-like aura) and (b) understanding deeper about the intricacies of the American political system (but lets be honest, this season barely added to what I already knew).
