That tom yates guy is a very good character, but he is an awful actor. Unless he is acting this way on purpose?

Also Tom Hammerschmidt is also a very good character. I found myself actively rooting for him but I never ever rooted for Lucas Goodwin who was basically trying to do the same. Tom is a much better actor and a more likable character. Also Lucas looks like a drugged up Michael Cera.

True that. Never cared for the journalists on the show in general which is a shame because he has that noble yet gruff aura about him whereas Lucas doesn't have any redeeming qualities about him. Keep looking at him and wondering why Michael Cera is pissed at the prez instead of trying to help Jonah Hill get laid.
Episode 10, this scene, by far my favorite in the show ever.

- if he beats connway in the elections, those are 4 years in the white house and another election after that so it seems there's no ceiling there if they want but i doubt they'd cover a decade of the underwoods in the white house. and once frank is done, there's 8 potential years of claire...

I don't think they will win the elections. If they do, Frank won't complete his term. Can't see an ending where both Frank and Claire are alive or free. Either Frank dies or he goes to prison. Not sure about Claire though.
One thing I would say this season lacked was 1-2 new characters. Tom was fantastic as the reporter but there should have been another reporter or two working with him.

In the penultimate episode. The season has had it's slow moments but where it's good, it's really good. Frank is a piece of shit and so is Claire
