Good in the air,tall,good pace for a defender and most importantly with a very cool head . He barely fouls and never goes down with out thinking twice.. He is a complete package.

Last man, clear foul, clear red card to be honest, he was really lucky(?) to get away with it. Otherwise he was solid today.

Edit the two tackles aren't the same, how can 1 being a red lead to the other being a pen?

Evra is through on goal and Varane is last man.... how do you compare that to a shoulder to shoulder?

Not Jones fault Di Maria is a weakling and dives at the first sign of pressure.

You may get that decision in La Liga but not anywhere else, thats a fair and above board challenge.

While its true anywhere else on the pitch the Varane challenge is a yellow card but he's last man and thus its completely different.

Ramos looks in line though when Evra falls over. It's not like it was a pure 1v1, with no players around. And besides, there needs to be a clearer and zoomed in video to see what Varane actually did.
