Substitute against Chelsea then starting against Bolton. I want him to be carefully integrated into the squad.

Re: Sturridge || The Double Edged Sword #15
Start or sub!!!Rodgers said: "Daniel starts training tomorrow with the team.
"He's in his final rehabilitation with the medical and sports science guys today and joins in with the group from now. It's just about getting football and game fitness.
“We'll see how he is for Tuesday. If he's not ready for Tuesday then he'll be back, for sure, against West Ham next weekend.”

I've always been of the opinion that returning injured players are more prone to getting reinjured if they are subbed in on their return rather if they get into the intensity of the game from the start.

yes guys, just cant believe how much we missed him and the second goal just showed how an actual striker scores a goal. His entry is like the one above

So happy he got the goal monkey off his back so early, now he doesn't have that pressure on him.

We must also remember the fact that he has a very high risk of being a passenger for most parts of the game only for that lethal finish, So don't get too excited.

Re: Sturridge || The Double Edged Sword #15
He needs to relax a bit, he is taking too many things by himself. I think Sterling and Sturridge both need to pass the ball to each other more often.

Re: Sturridge || The Double Edged Sword #15
Studge has always been really selfish though. It's frustrating. Like when he managed the ball down to nearly the goal-line against Besiktas early on and there were probably 2 - 3 players open in the box for a tap in and he decided to try and score from that impossible angle instead. Baffling decision making at times.

Re: Sturridge || The Double Edged Sword #15
Yeah, he's definitely too selfish at times. That applies to a lot of strikers, though. He also sometimes dwells on the ball too long when outside of the box in non-threatening situations. Better off passing and moving than making a needless little dribble. These needless little dribbles are a bigger problem for Sterling, though.
Anyway, as long as he keeps scoring goals, I don't mind Sturridge being too selfish.

I don't mind him being a bit selfish if have the poise to knock-in goals with some sort of regularity.

Re: Sturridge || The Double Edged Sword #15
He has played 550 mins over 10 games since his return. It's not his 'lack' of goals or even lack of accuracy but his lack of fluidity that concerns me. He still looks rusty.

Re: Sturridge || The Double Edged Sword #15
Yeah, it's like he's out of sync with the rest of the team. I also didn't like it how towards the end of the Burnley game he would drift well out wide and stay there, presumably just eager to get the ball instead of staying in the danger areas. It looked stupid when we had a wing-back, an AM and a striker all within 5 metres from each other out in the flank and no one in the goal-scoring areas.
Anyway, hopefully he'll be able to shake the rust and finish the season strongly.
