French journo Philippe Auclair on Matias Suarez:
"Regarding Matias Suarez, it's serious interest from Arsenal. Arsenal have scouted Matias Suarez intensely, but Arsenal have many scouts watching many players right now."

I wouldn't mind Suarez at all. Plays alongside Venezuelan legend Ronald Vargas so I've seen a few games of his. Young as hell and good potential.

Matias Suarez seems an interesting player, but what of his work permit? Does he have Belgian citizenship?

Super agent Rob Segal was at the club's training ground on Friday, suggesting a busy January window for Arsenal

Were we ever in for Adam Lallana? Heard that we were scouting him , and have been for few games. Again, been kinda following the saints since we got Walcott from them and I can only hope this rumour is true. Lallana is going to be quite the player.

Re: January Transfer Thread: Rumours and BS. Mostly BS.
Lallana is 24 now, isn't he? I don't think he's going to be the top player everyone thought he was going to be when he first broke through. Will most likely end up at a mid-table club in the end.
We probably were scouting him at some point, but he plays in a position where we've always been well stocked in. He was breaking through at the same time Cesc was, and by the time Lallana was an eastablished player for Southamption, we already had Wilshere and Ramsey coming through.

Re: January Transfer Thread: Rumours and BS. Mostly BS.
Rubbish, Karen Brady made up some bullshit.......
Then Redknapp repeated it, then the Daily Mail got some quotes together and made it to one long shitty article.....
Coincedently compiled by a former reporter at News of the World.
There is noway in hell Ashley would allow a clause of such a small fee in anyones contract....
He cares too much about money, this is a complete non goer but as usual BS in this country can go far.
I expect the whole fcking country will be talking about it tomorrow ffs.
Probably the only truth here, is the part i underlined.

Demba Ba has put England's top clubs on red alert when it emerged he has a £10million release clause in his Newcastle contract.
Ba has stunned the Barclays Premier League after scoring 15 goals for Alan Pardew's side since his summer move from West Ham.
The Senegal striker negotiated the clause when he signed a three-year deal worth £40,000 a week after quitting Upton Park following their relegation.
Ba, who is the Premier League's second top scorer behind Robin van Persie, was named Barclays Player of the Month for December.
New Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill won the manager's award.
Ba confirmed his class when he scored the first goal in Newcastle's 3-0 demolition of champions Manchester United on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old arrived in England after quitting German club Hoffenheim last January and was a popular figure with West Ham fans during their failed bid to stay in the Premier League.
He signed for Newcastle in the summer, but has now left the country to play in the Africa Cup of Nations with club-mate Cheick Tiote, who will star for the Ivory Coast.
Inspirational: Ba scored as Newcastle beat Manchester United this week
There have been long-standing fears over an injury to his right leg that Ba first sustained with Belgian club Mouscron, but he has regained full mobility.
Surgeons hammered a 25cm nail into his leg as part of the operation to save his career and there were fears he would not be able to play again.
However, he made a startling recovery, and although he is sometimes in mild discomfort, it has not stopped him becoming one of the most talked about names in Europe.
Although Newcastle have no intention of allowing Ba to leave, he could trigger the release clause in his contract if a top club matched the figure.
He negotiated a similar clause when he moved to West Ham and was able to quit on a free transfer when they were relegated to the Championship.
Meanwhile, ITV4 have announced they will cover the Africa Cup of Nations with a combined package of highlights and live coverage of one quarter-final, one semi-final and the final.
Probably the only truth here, is the part i underlined.

Quite frankly i prefer the mock up that i made
EXCLUSIVE: NEWCASTLE'S BA IN THE UK ILLEGALLY
By Henry Ritewingkunt
Newcastle United striker Demba Ba is actually living in the UK illegally, it emerged last night.
Ba's paperwork claims he was born in France, but he actually entered the UK with his family on a swan-shaped peddleboat from Africa, The Daily Mail can reveal.
The boat was shipped to a corrupt country in western Africa by Tyneside-based ganger Paddy Conroy after it was stolen from Saltwell Park.
Ba and his family gave up their occupation of selling watches on a nearby beach to make the move to England.
Ba had sought asylum from the large cannibalistic Jammie Dodger terrorising some poor part of Africa and the cost of he and his family living in England illegally is estimated to be around £7 billion to each British taxpayer.
The Mail also understands that Ba was responsible for killing Princess Diana and shitting on one of the Queen's corgi's. He is also a vehement supporter of the Labour Party and claims to have little time for Margaret Thatcher, the monarchy and fails to understand core British values.
The Daily Mail will fight to have Demba Ba extradited immediately.

Malaga have made a €10 million bid for out-of-favour Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios, according to Bild.
Anyone think we should offer?
Anyone think we should offer?
Re: January Transfer Thread: Rumours and BS. Mostly BS.
No to Barrios if we can get Welliton for 7. He's younger and faster and very clincal.
BTW
VVV-Venlo
have confirmed that they have sold Ahmed
Musa to CSKA
Moscow for a fee of €5 million.
The 19-year-old winger has
impressed for the De Koel outfit since making his first-team debut back
in October 2010, and has broken into the Nigeria senior squad, winning
12 caps.
The news was confirmed on the Dutch side's official
website; the African winger will move to the Arena Khimki with immediate
effect.
The teenage startlet feels that it is an important move
in his fledgling career, and is looking forward to getting started with
his new club.
"This is the next step in my career," he told
Venlo's official site.
"When I arrived in Venlo a year and a half
ago, I didn't dare to dream I would earn this transfer this soon. I'm
very happy VVV gave me the chance to show the world what I can do.
"Now
I can do that on a bigger stage. The club, the people and the fans in
Venlo have always been good to me. I will never forget that," he added.
Musa
follows in the footsteps of Keisuke Honda, who traded Venlo for CSKA in
a €6m deal back in December 2009, and the Dutch club's president Hai
Berden is proud to once again have nurtured young talent.
"With
his transfer to this Champions League club he is making a big leap in
his young career. I'm convinced he will do even better there," Berden
commented.
"We're glad we were able to enjoy him and his skills
in Venlo and that our club is once again a stepping stone towards a big
European club."

NYRB defender Tim Ream's transfer to Bolton for around £1.9m could be done "by the weekend" http://t.co/z8Z0BJXH
--
He was linked with us in the past, so this puts that to bed. Good replacement for Cahill imo.

Zenit close to signing Arshavin for £8m according to reports in Russia > it says here > http://t.co/rKt0x1k1
Re: January Transfer Thread: Rumours and BS. Mostly BS.
^ then we definitely have to move and sign someone for that position
i rather Mata-esque player but
wide forward who is versatile and can play centrally would do
bring in Matias Suarez

Bosnian starlet Edin Visca claims Arsenal have expressed an interest in his services, but he is refusing to read too much into the reports.
"I am very proud that such a big club is interested in me," Visca told KiP.
"Who wouldn't be happy about that?
"But the truth is, right now I am an Istanbul BB player and that means I cannot think too much about the Gunners.
"Until something concrete happens, I will only think about Istanbul BB as I want to play in Turkey and be as good as I can.
"But, yes, I am happy and proud that such a big club wants me."

We wont sign anyone until wenger sells a player first.
1- We cant sell Chamakh, he is away.
2- Rosicky has been amazing no reason to sell him anymore.
3- Bendtner cant be sold.
4- we cant sell Arshivan anymore we need him Gervinho is away.
5- Abou Diaby is 1000 days away so he will be back soon.
6- We got Henry back.
7. Jack is few weeks away.
8- Sagna is few weeks away
9- Vermaelen looks like he will be back next week.
10- Coquelin played well as LB.
The main guys will have around 2 weeks off.
We need a full back and I don't know if Wenger will sign one or should sign one. I dont ant Wayne Bridge, waste of space and money. I dont want to do Man city any favors.
