That's why i think you move Marcelo to RB to be paired up with an experienced CB in Pepe. Ceontrao can help with Ramos getting acclimated.

But i also have a real fear of moving Marcelo when he is just becoming decent defensively at LB. He doesn't have natural defensive instincts and, thus, switching positions will be tougher for him.

Bu then again (lol), having Marcelo on the right would definitely make that side much, much more dangerous offensively.

True, but I suspect Marcelo on the right side is just going to be too suspect. I would really like to see Marcelo having another go in attack, maybe on the left side of a diamond 4, or wing forward.. but thats just me, I really enjoy Marcelo on the attacking rampage! another Fan-celo as they say.

and did Coentrao learn Spanish in 1 season where he was loaned? Seems unlikely...

i speak portuguese in 2-3 months of learning spanish i could understand 90% of what every latino spoke

portguese is the closest language to latin alongside romanian so its easy to learn italian spanish in a month if you take an intensive class

coentrao signing is like a wait and see actually... really hope he wont be our RB

It's all about how much you dedicate yourself to do something. Mourinho is learning fast because he took it as a mission.

Dont be surprised if we hear stories about Sahin impressing people because he learned spanish in a couple of months.

Portuguese speaking people dont need to learn how to speak spanish,its almost the same thing.Same with Italian,just a bit harder

the beauty is portuguese people can understand spanish(from spain) without much effort but it doesnt work the other way round

well were talking about him learning spanish,so it doesnt matter if the Spaniards understand portuguese.

I'm just worried of how we're isoliting the Spanish ones. In particular what I dislike about this is that our captain only speaks spanish, so how is he supposed to be our captain if he even can't communicate with them? If he can speak and understand Spanish - good. But Marcelo is still better.

I think Coentrao is one of the very best athletes we have in the team after Ronaldo.

sahin,ozil,benz and khedira would be the only ones having a hard time with communication

It doesn't matter for Ozil, he's fine tuned in telepathy

Im not even fluent in Italian and I still understand a lot of Spanish from it. Portugese, though, is a step too far and its not as easy to understand. I believe Benz already learned the lingo in his first year, and I dont know about Khedira and Ozil. The rest of the starters should know it pretty well.

But hey, complex linguistics really dont matter on the pitch, its just the simple interactions that matter.

khedira can speak some maghrebie arabic. benz knows spanish know

Coentrao is the one who should shave off all that ridiculous hair and stop dyeing it. It can be his new RB look.
