What I've done is trying to establish good scouting networks to bring in talented young players. Then I keep some of them and sell the rest on and make some money that way.

What I find quite stupid is how the Board only looks at the latest season when they assess your work.
For instance, I once earned back-to-back promotions from League 2 to the Championship, didn't meet my Season Target there (mid-table finish) and got fired... I mean, that's just lame.

thats what i do as well, use scouting networks, and loan the odd decent premier league player, brought in mceachren, shelvey and robinson on loan to form a decent center midfield / left back. i dont have any plans on buying them since their value increases significantly after a season of continuous play and can't afford them at the moment Razz

u use roma? i use them in career mode and i bought abidal ,ivanovic,podolski and lennon and aimar and bosingwa for like 50m and i sold jose angel to barca and sold both borrielo and pjanic to inter for 15m each
