Finished 12th in my first PL season, but in EL second season due to reaching final of CC.

Board wants me ti finish mid-table in league and go to QF of CC and EL

Bought McEachran, a targetman, a winger with pace and acceeleration of 96, and back up DM. oveerall focused on squad quantity, as opposed to buying top players with 15M budget I had, because I'll be playing a lot of games. My team now:

Had a funny run in against Man City... EPL is incredibly tight and it's into February now. tied with Man City on points in 1st place, so obviously a big game... go into the pre-game and this is there lineup

No joking, they had owen hargreaves starting at ST. and Chamakh....my god... With Tevez, Aguero on the bench. Mind boggling

So, I figure yeah, this should be an easy W (I do play on WC, but seriously... Hargreaves?? LOL.)


Well, 1st half deadlocked at 0-0. Second half is going fine until the unthinkable happens. Goal kick for city. Hart to Chamakh- Holds up the ball in the air, controls it, beats my defender and then plays a Xavi-esque through ball to HARGREAVES! Who outsprints Mertesacker, and then chips me for the goal. I was stunned

Got two back through Wilshere (who is seriously beastmode in FIFA12) and RVP.

90th minute. Hargreaves gets another through ball from Barry, splits Sagna and Mertesacker at the edge of the area, goes down inside the box and wins a penalty... Hargreaves has been tearing me a new one ALL DAY.

Who else would take the penalty but... Chamakh. Just my luck, obviously. He goes straight down the middle however it deflects straight up in the air off the cross bar.. he tries to control the rebound but whistle blows for a foul. I escape 2-1

Never did I think that Man City lineup would give me trouble in FIFA 12... unreal


Also, Manchester United just tried to buy Wilshere for $130,000,000....

Do not use customized formations for the time being

This is what was causing my seasons to glitch on me (I'm still upset), why offer me custom formations when they're going to ruin/freeze my game (I know they can't be perfect). Even now, if I try to create a custom formation through kick off, it will freeze when I go to save it

Also, has anyone else notice the 4-2-3-1 glitch? The CF is placed right next to the LAM.

Makes me rage so hard sometimes, I buy my CBs based on DEF and HEA attribtues alone, so it usually means they are strong, powerful in the air(e.g Sakho).

I then put them in my team and they get destroyed in the air by less than average players

His move from them came after the rosters on the game were finalized I think. It'll probably be updated with a patch in a couple of months I wot.

I am using one with no problem.

4-3-3 with extremely high defensive line

Maybe it's just on the XBOX. Did you actually change any of the positions, or just their base position? I liked to have a LDM and a CM for my 4-2-3-1 and I had been moving the RDM to a CM. This caused two seasons too glitch on me and now I can't even save formations without my game freezing.

Thats nothing new mate, That glitch has been there since fifa10. Can't believe they still havnt fixed it :S

but putting players way out of position doesn't change their overall ratings?

It won't change their rating, but I assume they won't play as well (they might seem lost and out of place) if placed out their proper position (many players can play different positions), you can see find them out when looking at a players information.

The pressing sometimes in this game feels worse than previous FIFAs. It feels like they have legacy defending on too.

The only team who should be able to press continuously should be Barca.
