Re: Liverpool v Man United
Heart says Liverpool, head says Manu. In the end of the day Mancs or scousers will win, an ugly sight for neutrals.

Re: Liverpool v Man United
liverpool won't have it easy with their flop midfield and carrol won't do jack up top. But Liverpool will fight hard as always.
Imo going for a draw

This is true. But only because we have been playing 2 in the middle. If we play 3 in the middle this time, it will be an even contest.

If Gerrard is fit and we play 4-3-3 we will comfortably win like we did at Anfield last 3 times with our midfield which is easily superior. But if we play 4-4-2 then a draw or worse United may even sneak a win.

Re: Liverpool v Man United
I can picture the game. Liverpool dominates the midfield but can't score with little creativity. Manu want and can score but their forwards get little service. If Liverpool or better said Suarez doesn't manage to score/create a goal until 70th minute, Liverpool are dead meat. United need only one counter with the forwards they have.
It'll be a very ugly match for neutrals.

But isn't this a different midfield with the great Cleverly and Anderson.

Re: Liverpool v Man United
This is United's hardest league fixture for all season.
If they win this, you may as well give them the trophy now.
HOWEVER, if Anderson gives away as many balls as he did vs Chelsea or Norwich then it's time.

The only time you comfortably won was last season, and that was because we didn't have Vidic or Rio playing. The other 2 matches, you had to work hard to win.

Cleverly will be back after 6 weeks, and at Anfield...Fergie won't be stupid to throw him in like that.
I hope Carrick starts, Anderson was shocking vs Norwich and I'll take it.
really interested to see whether Fergie sticks to 4-4-1-1 or goes 4-3-3

Re: Liverpool v Man United
Draw, probably 1-1. Can't see either side going for this and I think we'll see a rather feisty but broken midfield battle without too many clear chances... unless a side scores early. If one side is to win, I think United have the slight edge, unfortunately.

Re: Liverpool v Man United
looks like we are the underdogs despite being at home, and having great record against them lately. good to see our fans playing our chances down, so if we lost (god forbid) it wouldn't be embarrassing
If Gerrard starts, we'll win. That's how I see it.
can't see how any type of United midfield will be able to contain Gerrard-Lucas operating behind Suarez and Kuyt. Enrique will nullify Nani

Yep i exaggerated somewhat. What i meant was we were the better team and didnt sneak a win as sometimes happens against United by other teams.
