will agree with brazil and argentina being crap right now.

But not italy we have come on in leaps and bounds since the world cup, dnt think england can really say the same.

Espc when the coach after 3 years still doesnt have a preffered line up.

Italy shouldve of beaten germany and we beat spain, yes i know they were freindlies but still cant they dont count for anything.

I mean can u honestly england couldve done better

Its hard finding a place for Gerrard or Lampard cause I doubt Capello will play without a targetman. I would go with this though:

Hart
Walker Ferdinand Terry Cole
Parker Wilshere
Walcott Gerrard Young
Rooney

in a perfect world its Cleverley and Wilshere together in CM....why play parker a player who will have no future with the NT in years to come in a tournament we are not gonna win already....might aswell play the future and get them experience

Funny how the same people who bash Milner, big Cleverly up. A player whose top 2 CM perfirmances has been against Coquelin and Livermore. Thad the Man U routine tough. For years they claimed Foster shud be number 1 or Brown is better than Hyypia, so no surprise really. Strikers choice shudnt surprise you either, it's always Rooney + 2 big strikers + 2 quick strikers who can act as poachers

Take Jones for example. At fault for crouchs goal, at fault for Freis goal, shaky va Norwich and he still gets praise for those performances, While Carroll scores a winning derby goal, saves a 100% goal by beating Cahill in the air, and has 2 fantastic headers saved and cleared off the line... Yet gets abuse for not doing step-overs

Jones is 19, Carroll is 22 is the difference.... still learning and plays beyond his years in one of the best teams in Europe, mistakes will happen a long the way, still about 3-4 years away from his "prime years" and plays the way he does

Back on the topic at hand...

To be fair, Barry did have a decent game in Bulgaria and is having a decent season for City. There's really no one else we can call up at the moment since Wilshere and Cleverly are both injured.

That squad should be more than enough to get the requred point against Montenegro. Genuinely surprised at no Sturridge, but Rooney, Welbeck, Zomara and Defoe all have some form going into this one so I'm not complaining.

Yea that dosen't make much sense.

He's jealous because own goals hasn't been the 2nd top scorer for Arsenal two seasons running.

I suppose Fergie Buys god drinks, not the lame referee.Everyone knows it only takes Fergie a 3 second stare at the 4th official to add on an extra 8 mins of injury time.

Not insinuating that y'all bribe anyone or even that refferees favour you.I'm simply insinuating that ManU has been far and beyond the luckiest club in the world for quite some time.Luck usually runs out though.....

sepi, the difference is, those young players have quickly settled to the pressure of playing for a big club and have performed very well this season.

Carroll is just Peter Crouch with a pony tail. Plus he cost 35 mill just so he can win the ball in the air.

The same way Dirk Kuyt is just a headless chicken that only runs around Laughing ...you've jinxed it. Hattrick on the way. BTW, Peter Crouch absolutely raped mr.Jones and Ferdinand last week, just saying. Not to mentions 75% of Carroll's goal for us have been scored by his left foot :coffee:

It's much easier for those young players at United to settle, because they step into a established organization who've been proven winners for many years, and even if fail to adapt quickly, they will be afforded time. (see Nani, Anderson, Berbatov, hell even RONALDO etc) who has had a set strategy for many years, as opposed a team in transition.

Not to mention likes of Cleverly and Welbeck were already United players, and just went on loan..know the system already.

Not very much like Carroll who slept on Jan 30th, dreaming of seeing out his career in Newcastle, resembling the legend who was Shearer for them and helping his boyhood team to go back to glory days of Sir Bobby, only to be told a day later that he has to GTFO the club to a totally different city and culture and a club in transition.

Not true at all.....

He has rather quick, alot quicker than people realise and he is very good in the ground again alot better than people realise he can finish off either foot.....

Yes he's fantastic in the air but he has so much more to his game than his aerial prowess, the problem at Liverpool is the way Liverpool are playing with him in the side they are being far too direct.....

Play the usual passing game and use the wings effectively and cross the ball when possible to get the best out of Andy Carroll.....

But to expect him to be Didier Drogba and deal with every long ball and boss the defence is the wrong way to go about it.

Also what Sepi said.

Regardless of the establishment or whether they went on loan, they still have to deal with the pressure of playing for United, plus have the talent to displace some very experienced players at such a young age.

Your post in some ways seemed to question whether they were good enough for England. I think judging by the performance of Jones and Welbeck, they definitely do. They have performed very well so far, and Jones in particular has already displaced Rio in the starting line-up. Of course he is gonna have the odd mistake, he is still just a 19 year old kid. welbeck has 5 goals in 8 games already.

That in itself tells you why they deserve to be picked, whether they play or not is another matter.

My thing with Carroll is that I have never rated him, he seems very limited. Has no technique, just strength..that's it. At times he non existant in matches. His goal ratio is very poor too considering what you paid for him. Just that in itself is why I fail to see why he was picked. It's got nothing to do with the fact he plays for LFC.

PS I rate Kuyt highly too. Hard working, commited player who plays with a lot of heart.
