Can Tottenham make it back to the CL?
Well, they showed more ambition than i was expecting from then, hold on to their players, and with Arsenal losing some key players, Spurs look very good, on paper and on the pitch.
They are currently 6th in the table, 1 point behind liverpool and the surprising Newcastle.
What are the chances they make their way back in CL next season?

Re: Can Tottenham make it back to the CL?
Realistically speaking i think it will be extremely hard for them..
Pool have considerably strengthened and are looking good whereas Arsenal have been tested time and again year after year and they've coming out in flying colors although they lack a little bit more quality as compared to last season imo but you definitely cant count them out..So these are two really tough teams to compete with..
Whilst Chelsea and City are looking good to cement their place in the top 3..
They have a quality team no doubt about it but they really lack a top quality striker to give them that extra edge..Whether Adebayor is the answer to that ?only time will tell as i certainly dont think he is, but chances of Spurs qualifying For the Champions league is quite less imo..

If Man U scored 8 goals against Arsenal and all Tottenham could score was 2 goals then no.
But in all seriousness, Adebayor has raped EPL before and he will again. Adebayor > Laudrup > Podolski > Messi

Re: Can Tottenham make it back to the CL?
With some of Arsenal's best players being out for long periods of time and Liverpool getting replacing quality with average players, they probably do have the best chance out of those 3.
Big shame considering they really aren't all that. I mean their best player was dominated by someone who was only making his 2nd PL start ffs.
Lets all hope Newcastle can stay around that fourth spot till Christmas and they can add to the quality they already have (Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Krul, Santon & Coloccini).

Re: Can Tottenham make it back to the CL?
Can't tell the order yet but.. the obvious... Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea for the top 3.
Liverpool to sneak into 4th under King Kenny.
Spurs, sadly, 5th. You heard it here first.

People still don't understand the difference between can and will I see.
Can they? Until it is mathematically impossible, yes.
Will they? I think they have a very good chance but it is far too early.

Newcastle or Liverpool deserve that spot much more.
Kneejerking, anyway. We all know they'll flop once the big matches come.

Let's be sensible here, alright.
Can Bolton win the PL? We all know the answer so lets not get to technical.

Theres a little bit of a difference between Bolton winning the PL and Tottenham making the champions league though
It still hurts me to read

Re: Can Tottenham make it back to the CL?
Fair enough. I just don't think it will happen. They get way too over-rated for doing nothing really. Kinda like City do.Luca wrote:izzy26 wrote:Luca wrote:People still don't understand the difference between can and will I see.

It's nothing about overrating them if the team is consistent enough you can make it into 4th place.

Re: Can Tottenham make it back to the CL?
Man U, Chelsea are a practically a lock for CL
So the other 2 spots....
City look strong and if they can keep up there good form should get a top 3 finish (they did it last year, why not again this year).
Then you have Liverpool, Spurs and possbly Arsenal battling for fourth with Newcastle and Stoke as of now a dark horse?
Lets be realistc, Arsenal looks like crap at the moment and its going to be hard for Newcastle and Stoke to keep it up season long. So its really out of Spurs and Pool for fourth. I have to say, from what I have seen so far Spurs look more complete and composed compared to Pool. They have no pressure while Pool has high expecations on a squad full of new players. I wouldnt be at all surprised if Spurs snuck in out of nowhere and nabbed the fourth spot to say the truth. They have looked full of confidence since Adebayor started playing with them

It's great to be discussed in these matters again
But if iam honest we are still 2 years away from this being a realistic goal( assuming of course we dont sell our whole team again )

They are fantastic
Just hope Ade goes back to "I don't give a damn" mood, or Modric gets injured.
Most in-form team in Europe atm
