Pastore - The time has come to leave Palermo
Javier Pastore has declared that he is ready to leave Palermo in the summer transfer window.
The Argentina international was one of the revelations of Serie A in the first half of the season and clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Roma, AC Milan and Inter have all been linked with a move for the 21-year-old playmaker.
Pastore has indicated that he wants to depart the Sicilian club, and Fox Sports-Del Plata quotes the player as saying: "I think that the moment has come to leave Palermo."
Recent reports suggested that Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini had rejected a €50 million offer from Chelsea for the gifted midfielder, but Zamparini has since denied those rumours, and added that he would be quick to accept such a bid.
"How could anyone turn down €50m cash for Pastore? I never saw such an offer," he said, according to Il Giornale on Monday. "Do you think if they put that money on the table, that I would throw it away?"
Pastore's current contract with Palermo runs until the summer of 2015, but the youngster is remain at the club following his recent comments and the gathering interest of several European giants.

Re: Pastore - The time has come to leave Palermo
He is good but not proven yet.He needs to stay another year in Palermo and then if he keep the same form he should be sold.I think he wants now to leave because he is scared that he will not repeat last season

Why a step down? Malaga is rich, they will have a better team than Palermo next season, and they want Pastore for their new project,
it can be awesome.
it can be awesome.

Re: Pastore - The time has come to leave Palermo
Maybe not, Lampard cold play in a deeper role in our Midfield.
Lampard played poor this season and he turns 33 in a few days.
Liverpool already signed Henderson to succeed Gerrard, So Chelsea should really consider doing the same.

Re: Pastore - The time has come to leave Palermo
I think he will leave. Zamp said he's the only player that he wants to sell and now the player himself has said he wants to leave.
All directions point towards the door now.
I think it would be interesting to see him join the project at Malaga. He'd be playing with a good group of players under a fantastic coach in a good league..
I personally don't think we'll sign him as even with the money we have now, he's still too expensive.

This article has some interesting quotes from Zamp, apparently there is a rift between him and Pastore camp.

Re: Pastore - The time has come to leave Palermo
If I were Pastore I would hate Zamparini and they way he constantly exposes him to criticism with his invented rejected offers.
Is it true what Zamparini said that he paid €19 million for him? Because it seems unrealistic.

Chelsea would be a good destination for him. They really need some spark in the middle, especially with Lampard getting on.
