Prediction League Rules

3 points - You will be awarded 3 points if the predicted result is spot on.

EXAMPLE - Your prediction is TEAM A 2-1 TEAM B.Game ends TEAM A 2-1 TEAM B.You are awarded 3 points as the predicted result was correct.

1 point - You will be awarded 1 point if you get the final outcome right,but the result wrong.

EXAMPLE - Your prediction is TEAM A 2-2 TEAM B.Game ends TEAM A 1-1 TEAM B.You are awarded 1 point as the final outcome was correct,but not the result.

0 points - You will be awarded no points if both predicted result and outcome are wrong.

EXAMPLE - Your prediction is TEAM A 2-1 TEAM B.Game ends TEAM A 1-2 TEAM B.You are awarded 0 points because you got both result and final outcome wrong.

IMPORTANT RULE - In order to make game points and accounting reasonable,you may predict matches from one of the leagues only.You are free to choose a different league each round.30 fixtures + bonus questions potentially mean 108 points for each player,and seeing how 15/27 players got 7-10 points from round 1 Tuesday fixtures (8 of them) numbers would be ludacris.Assuming you will be getting slightly better in predictions as the season moves on and we get more familiar with teams,players would be able to get 40-50 points per round and make unreachable differences.

@rwo I wanna see how people will go with the one league rule first,if it goes well I'll be adding Bundesliga for sure,maybe even French Ligue 1.

Well, why not start it now? I for one can only predict BL matches with confidence (or not, considering the BL is notoriously unpredicatable ) and if I'd have to predict EPL, Serie A or La Liga I could as well roll dice ^^

Just an idea. Might get messy if there's 4-5 or even more leagues to choose from every round.

Maybe a tiny problem with Bundesliga is that there's 18 teams and therefore 9 games / round, one game less to earn points from. Could add a 4th bonus question or something to compensate, though.

I suggested that in the first thread actually,no one said anything about it.I just chose this one for now cause it's the least radical change.I am aiming for improvement according to what you guys want

Actually, rotating the leagues sounds not too bad. About the BL - why not give the possibility to declare one match the top match that can give double points? That way one can get the same amount of points as the 20 team leagues.

We'll see rwo.I won't change anything this round though,predictions have already been made...

BTW, aren't the bonus questions a bit surplus when they can actually be taken directly from the predictions?

You don't have to make the same prediction twice,it gives you a double chance to win points.If you predict 3-1 for example,and have a feeling they might score more you write it in bonus question.
