No surprise to see United win via a twice-deflected cross. Meh.

West Brom were a bit wasteful in the final third. If they had done a bit better then the result might have been different.

Nonetheless, Liverpool, Chelsea, United and ourselves hardly look in top condition. Wonder if City will follow the same trend tomorrow night.

City should definitely have it easier against Swansea. Don't see them dropping points there.

I'm more pissed about Gervinho missing the game. I hope Vidic has a set back though. However, ManUtd has done a good job of shoring up their back lines with Jones and Smalling. At OT, I don't have much hopes tbh.

@Eman - Chill out mate, would have happened anyway. Its SAF's holier-than-thou team.

Anyway, at least we won't be the only team missing players when we face Man Utd. By then I would hope we have completed our transfer dealings as well. Key word is "hope" though...

Is Wenger going to appeal the red card for Gervinho? Might get him back for Liverpool and Utd. hopefully we have a few more signings as well by then. Is Hernandez due to be back against us? He normally doesn't perform too well when playing us but he's still an unwelcome threat.

Was an interesting weekend (so far).

Man United winning near the end with an own goal, nothing changed there, but Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all showing they are teams with either new players/new manager or just in transition.

Man City playing tonight, at home to Swansea they should win.

Half time score: Manchester City 0 - 0 Swansea City

City have had a lot of attempts at goal and have hit the crossbar twice, but Swansea are hanging on in there. City will most likely bring on Balotelli and Ageuro in the second half. I'd be very surprised if they didn't score.

If THIS is what we are up against, then we definitely need to step up a LOT and we need to invest ASAP.

Man, I know its just Swansea, but this is SCARY.

Final score:

Manchester City 4 - 0 Swansea City (Dzeko, Aguero x2, Silva)

I wouldn't read too much into the result. Swansea's defence was weak and conceding was just a matter of time.

Aguero's second goal was fantastic, though. He's a player I've rated very highly for a few years now and he'll definitely make City a ton more dangerous.

Do remember though that tonking a newly promoted side doesn't mean they're going to win every game with the same amount of ease. How many times have we beaten sides like Swansea by four, five or six goals?

I'm going to wait until City play some decent teams before judging them.

I already thought they were better than United before the season began, but if they can incorporate aguero in the team seamlessly then it's not even close, the league is theirs and dont say knee jerk. they shouldve even done alot better last year but Mancini was doing some weird/stupid stuff that held them back.

yes this was swansea, and i completely understand if you want to wait before judging them, but i can already tell theyre the real deal

In the past year Spurs have considered signing: Forlan, Aguero, Llorente, Negredo, Fabiano, Rossi & Drogba. Yet will end up with Adebayor.

Liverpool have announced they have reached an agreement with French side Evian for the transfer of Christian Poulsen.

The Danish holding midfielder arrived at Anfield with a strong reputation but failed to make an impact at Anfield under Roy Hodgson or Kenny Dalglish.

Liverpool have announced they have agreed a deal with Ligue 1 newcomers Evian - for whom the deal would represent something of a coup - and Poulsen can now discuss terms with a view to completing the move.

"Liverpool FC have tonight confirmed that they have reached agreement with Evian Thonon Gaillard for the transfer of Christian Poulsen," said a statement.

"The French side have now been given permission to talk to the Denmark international."
