Re: La Liga (Week 4): Valencia vs FCBarcelona
Toughest game yet for me. Obviously that Supercopa game away was big, but the Supercopa isn't that important.
Its pretty important we get a good result from this one as we don't want to give Madrid an early lead in the league. Valencia are very hard to beat at home, going to be tough.
Who should he pick for his front 6??? Same team as today? Or Pedro or Afellay in?

Why start Afellay Cholla? He is not fully fit and Pedro is better than him atm.

I would start Afellay and use Pedro in second half as impact sub. Pedro will have around 60 minutes to think why is he on bench. And that could motivate him.
Peple are saying that he is not in form, I don't agree, he just needs more moivation, and Afellay can be that X-Factor for Pedro's motivaton. Start will give more motivaton for Afellay to.

Perhaps we should keep the same lineup. This diamond is working well for us because our full backs give us enough width.

The last game was practically a 3-4-3 anyway.......
Puyol Mascherano Abidal
Busquets
Xavi Thiago
Cesc
Alves Messi Villa
Busquets
Xavi Thiago
Cesc
Alves Messi Villa
And i agree we should keep it unless we come across a team that totally nullifies it.....

I'm going to predict 2-5 for Barca. Soldado is on fire right now I think he'll score.

Chance to go top of the table clear...I hope we take it...
Also, I'm starting to like this 3-4-3(when will pique be back anyway?)
----------Puyol--------Masch---------Abidal---
-Alves--------Xavi---------Busi---------Thiago---
---------------------Cesc------------------------
------------Messi-------------Villa-----------
Although Cesc tends to drift out left . This is actually a very solid lineup and I look forward to seeing more 3-4-3 combinations this season(not necessarily the lineup I named)

The 3-4-3 brings back memories but I feel it leaves us too vulnerable if we face a team with great width.

Well with Abidal as part of the back 3 and Alves part of the attack it's easy to revert back to 4-3-3, not really an issue imo.

I was envisioning the lineup without Alves.

Re: La Liga (Week 4): Valencia vs FCBarcelona
Tbh. As far as formation goes... as long as we have the platform of Alves (in his Right Boss role) + Masch-Puyol-Abidal and Busquets at DM, the other 5 positions should pick themselves. Not to fussed who they are, our players are all very versatile and talented they'll be fine.
The main question is, play the out of form Pedro? Or the inexperienced Thiago? I'll give Pedro another chance, he's a big game player.

Tell me something. I was ill this time and didn't observe carefully.
Why do you say Dani Alves was the right winger and not the right back?
Did he not bring out the ball from defense when the play was on the right? Did he not take all throw ins on the right flank including those that happened in our half? If the answers to both these questions is yes then I think we should call him a right back. If that's not the case then I will have to agree that it was indeed a 3 CB system.

Yes kizz, That was such an unexpected thrill. Whenever Mourinho's team loses or even draws a match there is only one individual to blame and that is the referee.
