Goal ratings?

Riiiight. Messi scores 3, assists 2, makes 2-3 trough passes which were wasted (one on crossbar), hits left post, right post, crossbar and was menace everytime on the ball. Goal.com rating 9.0.
I would like to see the game Messi gets 10.

Messi expected to do more. 3 goals and 2 assists is nothing for him. if CR did it he would get at least 9.5. If Rooney did it he would get 10, if Torres did it he would get 12

You need to score 5 goals to get 10 rating..goal.com gave berbatov 10, when he scored 5 goals against some club I cant remember atm.

Goal.com gives ratings based on the opposition. Messi doing this against Osasuna is the norm. Doing it against a stronger team should net him a 10.

You shouldn't really take their rating serious. also Messi could've scored more goals, wasted 2 or 3 clear chances.

You have to admit that his Arsenal's performance is more impressive than this performance purely because of the strength of the opposition. Heroes are judged not by their strength but by the strength of their enemies.
Which is why so many games fail in a story level because the bad guys are pure crap.

Today messi directly involved in 5 goals scoring 3 assisting 2. I think 9.5 would be a fair rating.
Also until now messi got a "10" three times, one i remember was against arsenal.
Unfair thing was when he scored 2 away goals vs R.Madrid in CL semi-final (second goal alone deserve 10)
