They will never be at the same level as Barca and Madrid, the amount of investment needed to reach that level is ridiculous. Only Man City have the funds to get there. However if they do make it to the UCL spots (I don't think they will) but if they do they will be able to attract better players.
However I don't think they will ever be title challengers, Madrid and Barca are just too good.

They have the backings of a filthy rich Qatari Sheik, Royal Family sponsoring Barca actually, they have the money to get wherever they want, but he doesnt believe in throwing 300M in the transfer market to get there.
Different philosophies, they are making a lot of efforts to build up their academy and their new sporting complex will soon be a priority.
Saying that they will "NEVER" be challengers is a bit ridiculous. They will take their time but they will get there, it's a simple reality.
They will keep adding good footballers to their team, year after year, without breaking the bank.

If they qualify for CL this season they would do La Liga a world of good. Many stars would go there.

Yes but while they are improving Barca and Madrid wont be stagnant and static, they will be improving too.

It means that while Malaga are improving, Barca and Madrid will be improving too. Barca and Madrid will not stay at the same level they are at now, they will improve because the great teams always do.

Why not RG? dont you think given time and sustainable investments they will get there?
Chelsea did catch up, City is doing it, Napoli caught up to the bigs in Italy, and even tho Real and Barca are two juggernaut, it's not impossible given time imo.
The mode of investment isnt the same, so it will take time for them, but i do think they can do it.
If it wasnt for their horrendous debt, valencia would be there for ex.
The thing is, Malaga can sign promising players and with patience they can have their own stars.

I'm basing it off of the fact that Real Madrid spent huge amounts of money to try and catch Barca but even they are still a little short and they had a better base than what Malaga has. They were already one of the best teams in the world with fantastic facilities and a great youth setup, meanwhile Malaga are a mid-table team with average facilities, and while they are improving I feel is just far too big.
If Madrid spent over 380m Euros on top of the great squad and setup they had and still can't quiet get to Barca's level think how much Malaga will have to spend.

we ddint need to spend that much money, clearly, and we were after improving overnight, which is clearly what Malaga isnt trying to do.
You can sign quality players and build up a system in which each is used to his full potential and challenge bigger teams.

The €380m was spent over 3 seasons (including this season so far), not exactly panic buying to improve overnight. Madrid have spent on average almost €130m over the last 3 seasons and still aren't quite on the level that Barca are. So surely Malaga are going to have to spend more than that over a longer period of time just to get close.
Barca and Madrid have some of the best players in the world for each position so to compete with them Malaga are going to need some of the best players in the world and to get that quality of player costs alot of money. In any other league in the world I would give them more of a chance but Barca and Madrid are the 2 best teams in the world and in my opinion are just too far ahead.
