The team was defending well in all these past few games. I think Arsene applied his usual flowing philosophy which we don't have the players to pull off anymore. It's the only explanation for such a shitty display.

Sagna getting hurt was the killer... that guy is vital to the team. You can't have defensive weakness at both fullback positions. One is hard enough to overcome.

Every player that comes to arsenal becomes chicken (without wings) for some reason.

I really hate Wenger for not changing tactics and sticking to his old tactics which was build around Cesc. We dont have Cesc anymore and we still play the same effing tactic. We should give RVP free role and he could be almost as creative as Cesc was.

Our set piece defending has nothing to do with formation, guys. As Sports said, our man marking has to dramatically improve because we give up space far too easily.

You can't play zonal if your CBs aren't dominant and your mids are weak defensively. You need big time physical presence since the opponent makes unimpeded runs. Second, when the zone is set that tight and that low, you can't be passive... guys need to aggressively attack the ball as soon as it's kicked. We just sit back.

Finally, complete zonal defense on FKs is a shit tactic and a recipe for failure anyhow. You at least need to identify the danger players on FKs and get close to those guys. If CR7 were ever to face Arsenal, he would rape them... i mean it would get ugly. You have to bother guys who are dangerous in the box.

We were doing fine in set pieces so far... but today was like "Ok guys, go back to whatever you were doing last season". But without Fabregas, Nasri, Wilshere or an in form Djourou.
