Emanuele Calaio is confident that Siena will know how to stop Antonio Conte’s Juventus at the weekend.

Juve started the season well thanks to a 4-1 win over Parma, but Siena are aware of Conte’s footballing philosophy given that he led them to promotion last term.

“We know how Conte wants his teams to play and that is an advantage for us,” the striker told ANSA.

“As a result, perhaps we can play a little joke on him and Juventus in Week 3,” the forward continued.

“On paper, Juventus are stronger than us as they have great quality, but if we work hard then we can have a great game.

“I believe that we can cause an upset because you never know what can happen in this game…”

Calaio has been at Siena since his 2008 move from Napoli. He’ll also be keen to beat Juve given that he started his career at city rivals Torino.

caliao is a good player, we will have to look out for him. if brienza plays we will have to watch for him as well. u might remember he scored against us a few years ago for reggina. i heard only 800 tickets r left for the game

but they can't know what Juve can do under these tactics

more like if Calaio is that stupid to think Conte will come out playing the same way he made Siena play, using the same tactics and schemes, then he is out of his mind.

we will probably play a 4-2-4 to start, to lull them into thinking we are playing the same way he coached siena, then switch to a 4-3-3

Needless to say... Siena players know how Conte's tactics work, so watch out for that...

It doesn't matter, the difference in class should be enough alone.
Conte will hopefully overwhelm Siena.

They maybe know Conte's tactics but they don't know the quality that Juventus can offer with it...

Boys... is this the first time you watch football? Since when is quality superior in any game? You must respect all your oppenenets espeiaclly in Serie A, quality is not enough to judge the front cover of another squad. Just yesterday, Milan showed a perfect example in what I mean against Barcelona.

Now listen, before you go jumping off your feet, IM NOT SAYING SIENA IS BETTER. I'm saying anything can happen, and at this point they know our style without a doubt, so they might be our biggest threat at stopping it, regardless of quality. I can set a squad with a 4-6-0 and I can bet you all that Juventus would struggle to score.

My main point is, remember two years ago? What happened with our quality players? We were leading Siena 3-0, guess what? At the end they came back and tied it 3-3, so before you go on and say better quality, I'd watch it.

Imagine if you were a coach... I would doubt that you would say... Oh we will win, no worries... No it does not work that way.

Juventus will win, without a doubt... but never understimate your oppenent.

I'm definitely not underestimating them.After finishing 7th in consecutive seasons there's no league match I think "Right, it's in the bag, let's chuck in some youth players and go for the 8-0 win."

But I am considering juve fortuanate to have a team like Siena then bologna whilst players are suspended and coming back from injury instead of Milan then Napoli etc etc.

Don't assume... this is still Siena, I said class SHOULD be enough
Favourites fall, I just don't think nor do I hope that Juventus does against Siena.
Anything less than 3 points is a massive fail, even at this stage.
