I remember playing FIFA from like 2000 and back then the best one I think was 04
I also loved WC 2002 .... but they all had this manual defense system, its just that it was more fluent, you won't be able to misplace a tackle that badly, and let attackers walk in your box! I played FIFA 12 against my bro and we both scored 3 goals every game, because of that d.. But AI does the job for you, because its very hard to place a right tackle, its no different from sliding, you've got to place it right otherwise you are screwed.

I love the new defensive system, its deff much more organized and harder to score, I as well get lit up by barca in legendary mode, Messi just seems to make me look retarted when he has the ball in the box lol, but I find when Im ac milan, I can do some nice runs myself with robinho.
