Still impossible to tell who will start. Here's a probable formation judging from our last training session:

Stekelenburg; Cassetti, Burdisso, Kjaer, Jose Angel; Gago, De Rossi, Pjanic; Bojan, Totti, Borriello.

Borriello may end up getting the go ahead instead of Osvaldo, while Pjanic is still in contention with Perrotta. Burdisso and Angel are certainties at the back, while Cassetti's position is still undetermined. He may start on the right and Kjaer in the middle or he may be played centrally with Taddei on the right. I guess it'll be a surprise before game time.

If we look deeper and bring the results from the previous season in perspective. Roma struggled many times agasint Cagliari. I believe the score in one of the fixtures was 5-2? But now, Roma should not underestimate Cagliari even with the loss of their best striker Matri. I can see this new Roma winning this game, as they would want to get revenge from last season. It is a great way to start off the season, to see how this new rebuilt squad has been structured by Sabatini and Luis Enrique. I'm anticapting this game, and I can't wait to this the outcome of it.

Cossu is the only concern for you guys.This should be a easy win for you

It's vitally important that we win this game .We're at home playing a team we usually always beat at the Olimpico so i and like the rest of you guys expect 3 points ..A Slow start *bleep* us last season we did'nt win our first game was it till matchday 5 against Inter and even that was a late win..If we get of to a good start confidence will be high going into the match against Inter...

Yeah just sitting in front of the back 2....We won't know until tomorrow where he plays but I'm just assuming he'll play there ..This will tale some of the workload off DDR and allow him to play more forward which all of us here want to see...

I assume that De Rossi will start in the middle, with Gago lining up opposite of Perrotta. That role in front of our back two is very important and I think we'll start with what we know so far. De Rossi has practiced a lot in that role and I think it will take a bit of time before we feel comfortable giving that job to Gago who has just arrived.
