I expect 3 points ...

De Rossi stands up for Totti

Daniele De Rossi warns Cagliari President Massimo Cellino will regret calling Francesco Totti “a showman more than a player.”

Roma face the Sardinians on Sunday and fiery patron Cellino launched a broadside at the ageing captain.

“Totti is a showman more than a player nowadays. I might invite him to play guitar with me.”

Teammate De Rossi rushed to Er Pupone’s defence with a stark warning.

“This isn’t the first time that Cellino has made comments like this. We’ll see what Totti plays on Sunday.

“If I were Roma’s opponent, I’d be very careful when trying to provoke the captain. Last year they provoked him before the derby and we all saw his response.

“When someone has provoked Totti, he always gave his answer on the field and the result was always positive for him.”

Totti to get a Hat-trick ....That should shut this prick up..

i'm gonna stick my head out and predict a 1-0

we'll probably see angel/osvaldo/bojan. but i think the rest of our signings will start on the bench

i'm a bit glad we had the strike. it gives our players more time to gel. i'm also glad we won't have to bother with europa league this season. i'll be happy if we can get 3rd and reach the finals of coppa italia. it's still wishful thinking though at this point. but here's to hoping pjanic will make a difference drinking . i always thought highly of him

I reckon we'll probably concede, we always do against Cagliari..

Is Lamela not expected to play due to fitness issues or is he just not deemed good enough at this point?

you're right, i forgot about him . cossu's a very underrated player, very intelligent and creative. he should be playing for the azzurri

BarrileteCosmico wrote:Is Lamela not expected to play due to fitness issues or is he just not deemed good enough at this point?

more like acclimation issues i think. he's a little kid in a new country. not sure if he can adapt to european football. everyone knows he's technically and physically gifted. we're just not sure if he can handle the pressure. can't just toss him into the deep end of the pool. he'll come around though i'm sure

I believe I read somewhere that Cossu has lead Serie A in assists over the past two seasons with 35.

With Enrique's tactics though, I'd imagine he'd have more free reign in comparison to what hes used to. If I was a betting man I'd bet he puts up at least one helper Sunday. I would also bet on Conti scoring as he always scores against us and it kind of annoys me...Hopefully Burdisso doesn't try to break any legs. Bobbie Freshwater can be also be Dangerous, and he could become their new Matri this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got smashed Sunday. They did hand us our heaviest defeat last year. I want to see Pjanic in action...

you've heard correctly. for the past 3 seasons, cossu's has been amongst the leading assist providers in serie A, which makes him the underrated playmaker of calcio. i hope he gets selected for azzurri, but he is also getting old unfortunately... he was backup for our south africa squad tho in case pirlo had to withdraw

i want to see pjanic too. he's easily my favorite signing of this summer. i've always liked his playing style, even before we were linked with him

Alright, I'll admit now Cossu is very underrated he did miracles with Matri back then and now is doing the same with Roberto Aquafresca. Yes he should be on the naitonal team, but considering all the creativity we have already, Pirlo, Cassano... Cossu is not really needed in Prandelli's system, I can only see him playing as the Trequartista, but then again he's more of a support striker... But we got enough already, Rossi, Giovinco, Balotelli, Cassano uff. He was called upon with Lippi, he didn't impress to much. Though he didn't have the right support so...

The point is, you all are right, Be very careful of Cossu, even Lazzarri.. both are very creative players. Cossu is like an assisting machine, leading Serie A with assists like a God.
