I'd say just a little over 20 mill. Maybe 23 mill. Amazing business by 'Pool to get 50 mill for him.

I think carrol transfer was really bad interms of fee,he makes pool a one dimensional and predictable team .LLorente is better with the ball on the feet than Carrol and he would only cost you 25 mill max.Suarez on other hand turned out to be transfer of the winter season last year.HscouserZ wrote:Devil-Is-Red wrote:I'd say just a little over 20 mill. A Lot.
I am sure if he was still in our current set up, he'd be scoring loads. The space we create these days through movement is absolutely fantastic, and Torres' style is made for quick passing and movement. I'd go as far as he would have scored an additional 10 goals in second half of last season and probably be on 2-3 goals already this season if he had stayed. He is a lethal finisher, a much better finisher than Suarez, and with the good feeling factor back at the club, his confidence would have been very high and he'd be scoring loads from the space created by our midfielders.
I am sure he thought the same watching the game on saturday.
It's his own doing though...He wanted to join a bigger club and have a chance to play with fantastic players like Frank Lampard and Nicolas Anelka, and Chelsea fans had always been respectful and loving towards him apparently

that is true but he does add a dimension of play ( when he plays with suarez ) and andy can be really dangerous ( as u saw against city ) anyway i do agree carrol's fee was WAY to big :S but we needed another striker and he was the only one availabe atm + we had loads of cash so why not ... i hope he pays off though . and one good thing is that he's still very young
