If this was always the plan and Conte never had any intent to use Ziegler, then it's a good move. It's basically money for nothing. No one really thought that the Ziegler transfer was great to begin with.

Personally, I'd prefer Ziegler as PDC's sub over Grosso. But, if Conte has no use for him, then this is a smart move financially.

I am pretty sure this has to do with Conte's intent but I see the usual suspect anyways so I'll ignore it.

I really don't know why people are overreacting this much over a back up, I understand being outraged about Bonucci possibly leaving but if you guys are going to lose sleep over Ziegler...?

Ziegler is good and all but some of these comments are really out there, to put it nicely.

ok consider PDC's injuries in the past we cant stay with grosso there as the only back up.because grosso atm he is not even a back up.and i dont think we can sign another left back atm.

I think Ziegler should definitely stay. Hes gonna get plenty of playing time cuz De Ceglie is so injury prone. With De Ceglie statting, we need another solid leftback, and Grossois not the answer.

Can someone please inform what Ziegler has done to deserve selling before the season even starts?? Especially when he plays a position so dearly needed by Juve?

As I said before, if this was always just a plan by Juve to generate some revenue by selling Ziegler, that's fine and I can understand that decision. But I see that Ziegler was just called up for the Swiss Euro qualifying match against Bulgaria. Please don't make me watch Grosso at the LB spot again for another season when we have a Swiss national team player as PDC's backup.

I think that poor Reto Ziegler, his money, and his feelings will be ok if this move actually happens.

Some of Conte's decisions are really baffling to say the least..

Considering De Ceglie is quite injury prone ,Ziegler is definitely a viable option to have in the squad..Not to mentions he's only 25 and Swiss National team player..

And now this implies 34 yr old Grosso who was practically frozen out of the squad gets to perhaps gain decent amount of playing time ?

Unless Conte has plans to deploy Cheillini as a LB at some point in the season incase of injuries its pretty much a crap decision..

i dont like this move at all. i hope this is just market rumors and not a real deal. I actually like ziegler as a solid backup and we're gonna get 5m and letting grosso be our 2nd choice? hellz no.

i wouldnt mind having grosso as a 3rd choice, but 2nd? FAIL.

Grosso is a terrible defender now a days.
I don't mind Chiellini at LB for one reason.
It would mean if/when a new CB arrives (lets say Rhodolfo) then Bonucci would still get a fair amount of playing time with Chiellini at LB.
