Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2010/11 before they got Marc-André ter Stegen: 2.21 (62/28) goals against per match.

After Favre selected ter Stegen as GK, they only got 0.5 (3/6) goals against in the remaining 6 matches.
Currently in 2011/12, BMG's defense only allowed 12 goals against in 21 matches, which is 0.57 goals against per match.

And mind you, ter Stegen had his BL debut on that matchday 29 at 18 years of age.

18th placed Racing de Santander is now closer in points to 4th placed Levante (9) than 2nd placed Barcelona is to 1st placed Real Madrid (10)

Real Madrid have scored 75 goals in LigaBBVA in just 22 games at an average of 3.4 goals per game. At the Santiago Bernabéu alone they have scored 45 of these goals in just 10 games at 4.5 goals per game!

09-12 RMA has had 3 times as much penalties per game in La Liga than in UCL. 0.31 vs. 0.12.

Barcelona has had about half the penalties per game in La Liga than in UCL. 0.11 vs. 0.19.

Mateu Lahoz has whistled more penalties to RMA in last two games in La Liga, than Barcelona gets on average in 36 matches.

You pass around the penalty area.

We run into it. ALL THE TIME.

It's like you guys play handball while we play Basketball. Our "foul me or get out of the way" approach is why we get so many and besides the one against Getafe which should have been a foul not a pen all of the calls this year have been more or less correct.

He does not realise that this Real Madrid team is also the most directly attacking team since thorough records started in the late 90's and by quite some margin too.
