well, if nothing move in your current line up next season, thiago will grow worry about his playing time, and ask a move away. One less player open up more time for him, i figure Pep is aware of that and the team will facilitate Villa leaving the club.

Doubt it. Mainly because Pep should know more then anyone the role Villa and Pedro play are unique and Thaigo cant fill it, doesnt have the profile for it, different kind of player.

End of the day, as much as some might want it, you cant play with 6 midfielders and no forwards. Someone has to provide depth to the pitch, someone has to have the mentality of a true goalscorer.

We wll see, I have no doubt that we wont make decisions a year in advance of the fact. We will have to see what will happen in regards to playing time and players willingness in their roles.

Im predicting a formation change, most likely a diamond midfield.

look at the players you have:
Iniesta-WC midfielder
Xavi-WC midfielder
Cesc-among the very best in his role,
Thiago-most talented player around in his role.

and only Xavi is aging. Then the forwards, Villa still very relevant, Pedro who keeps growing, Messi immovable, and now Sanchez who is very talented as well.

Too many star potential players there. you are going to need some heavy rotation to keep this up. Cesc is the kind of player that deserves 35+ starts a season. He will give up some this season, but it's got to improve overtime.

Thiago is way too talented and "ready" to spend so much time on the bench. His dad will sing sweet melody to his hears, he can start in teams like Villarreal for ex.

then you have Villa who is in his 30s and will have the pride of the star striker, Sanchez as well, and pedro...

you need to drop someone, and bring a more decent back up imo.

Hey bro, we (the guys on the forum) didnt force the move to happen. But you take it for what it is, and given their age, yes, they may do well together in the future.
