Re: Off-Topic Garden Café
That is so sad to hear because it was completely unavoidable. All the pressure just created a toxic environment, it wasn't his fault at all. For someone you admire to be forced into those circumstances is really awful because you look to them as a source of guidance and leadership, and now that's all suddenly disappeared.

Re: Off-Topic Garden Café
GL statistics show that the Last time I posted here would be May 10, long time ago, so long that I grew one year older!!!
But I had my reasons.
I had prepared tributes for Nesta, Inzaghi, Seedorf, Gattuso and even Van Bommel, but I changed my mind before posting them, seeing that none of them (except for VB) have ruled out the possibility of a sensational return.
And that, frustrated me so much that I stopped it all.
Now, though, is a time to talk about something, which will come in the next post.
What is it? The most beautiful EURO 2012 night for a Rossonero, the night nostalgia got the better of everybody, the night the Football world stood still, the night of Andriy Shevchenko...

Rolling back the years, just what I needed to lift my mood from this Silva business.
Oh the flashbacks I had.

Re: Off-Topic Garden Café
I've had mixed feelings about my week thus far, finished exams , then went to go buy a car ( which i believe to be mine, regardless of what my mother says ) then came home went on GL to discover we are selling Thiago Silva, my greatest sense of Rossonero pride, the player I've said billion of times will never leave Milan and will be the a Milan Legend, also will become the first foreign captain Milan has ever had...
It's only at times like these where i realise how much football/Milan means to me.

Damn everyone who has finished exams at the moment. Another week and a half to go. Quantum Mechanics exam on Thursday but I spent the entire day stressing about Silva. Thanks for nothing Galliani.
Also congratulations on the car. The mother line made me laugh out loud.

My exams finished day after tomorrow.
But the one I had today and one I will have on the 14th are both scrubs so my vacation more or less unofficially has begun.

Re: Off-Topic Garden Café
When in 2001, back in good old school days, I suggested our team choose Milan's shirt, I was asked what number I will pick. "3, of course guys. I want Maldini's shirt."
"You can't," my teammate said, "You're our attacker. 3 is not for attackers. Pick 10, 9, something like that."
"Then 7 it is. Shevchenko's." I enthusiastically replied.
Such was Sheva's impact on me, back in his heyday.
That was the first Milan jersey I ever owned in my life, and my dear, beloved mom threw it away later because she thought it doesn't fit me anymore. Thank you mom for taking away my precious childhood memento.
Anyway.
Memories aside, what we beheld last night was no ordinary incident. Like Drogba's dramatic, dream-like end to his Chelsea adventure, Sheva last night wasn't the unfit, out-of-form 35-year-old people expected him to be,
Nor was he, from another perspective, was the superhero we Rossoneri had come to believe he was.
He was pure Andriy Shevchenko, he was the classy no.7 everybody knew, he was himself at his best, the predator whom Thuram, Nesta, Cannavaro and the rest of fine defenders of the game were scared of.
It was beautiful to see the man fly like that on his home soil, surrounded by familiar faces and a loving crowd. Wow man, wow.
And me? I was yelling "Master! Master! Did you see that dad? Did you see that mom? He did it. Look at him, he hasn't changed! Not a damn bit!"
I hope he finishes as top scorer in the tournament, no better finish can ever be imagined for such a legend.
Thanks Sheva. It felt like Milan had won some trophy or something, really.
Thank you for yet another magical, memorable night.

Re: Off-Topic Garden Café
One of the gifts I'm spared with is the rare ability to realize the importance of a good thing while it lasts, I mean I truly seize it and try to %100 enjoy it and appreciate its precious presence while I can. And I encourage others to do that.
But there's one negative side to this, too, unfortunately.
As much as I enjoy a given happy moment, I severely feel the void left by it when it's finally gone and it kills me. This sort of cancels out all that sheer joy so much, that you wished you hadn't experienced any of it. It ruins almost all the moments that follow.
When I was at the last year of high school, during some classes we were free to virtually do anything like tear the place down, cuss at the teacher, escape, smokers could smoke, some put on music on cell phones and danced at the class and so on.
While we were doing all that, I used to tell those nutcases, "Appreciate these magical, unrepeatable moments bros. You won't get anything like this ever. E V E R.
And they were like, "Shut the f... up man, you talk like a girl."
Yeah, I was called effeminate by the tougher ones, but now, each and every one of them on facebook, or on the street if we bust into each other, ask me for the photos I took with my digital camera.
Instead, after 6 years, they say: "You were f...... right man. We were a bunch of dumb-asses who were just doing what we had to do, nothing special, but you were absolutely living them, loving them, enjoying them."
And like I said, now none of them misses those days as much as I do.
It's the same as any other situation.
It could be a good meal, a good relationship, a good job, a good videogame, a good movie, a good Football match, a good conversation etc etc etc.
I wished I was a little more forgetful, but my memory, my unfortunately insanely strong memory, it specializes in remembering the best moments and worse off, all the little things that made them the best, and it tortures me.
Sometimes I can't take it. But each passes and heck, new memories are produced day by day.
I wonder what I'll do when 30, 40, 50 years pass and I'm left with this mountain of sweet and therefore bitter memories.
Someone said, "An ordinary guy with a bitter past will have much easier a time going on in this life than a seemingly perfect man with a sweet past, because the former has seen the improvement in everything and always looks forward to what's to come. The latter, on the contrary, would often go back down memory lane, mourns their absence and tries to live in them. Which is, clearly, impossible."
Forgotten yesterdays mean nothing to me.
I wished it did.

I am not too sure how the mods did not it pick it up though
But never really seen him talk about Dutch Football.Always gave arguments on the basis of history just like Wiggles.
If this is truly Wiggles which i think he is,he really trolled all of us hard. One nice disguise i have to say
Especially when he was speaking bad English deliberately
Kudos to BC for making this guess
I am going to make one guess now..Divine Intervention is jibers' 2nd account

I wonder if leemhuis did anything to give his identity away. Some comment in the England v Italy thread?
I'll keep an eye out for that. Should be able to tell if DI and Jibers aren't on at the same time.

BC made this guess but i dont know which thread ,from then on i started to believe him especially seeing Leemhuis posting style.
Maybe his post history could you give you a better idea
Just examine both Jibers and DI posting style ,its somewhat the same
If thats the case, you should rep every post Surag makes..Increase your 'own' rep, make use of that power

Yeah, that is a good idea. The thing is that I am egotistical enough to complement my alias, but not egotistical enough to rep them... I mean... me.
