Exactly, I understand the argument of Bojan needing a run of games to play well. He's had 5 starts and played rather poorly in all of those. Yet in the 4 games that he's been brought in as a sub, he played especially well and scored 2 goals. At the moment, he's in contention with Osvaldo, Totti, Lamela, Borriello and eventually Borini once he comes back from injury. So if he's playing well coming off the bench, then what's wrong with that formula? I see no problems with starting Lamela, Totti and Osvaldo, with Bojan coming off the bench.

if he keeps on playing as an off-the-bench player he'll be back to Barca in 2 years. To be worth the 40 mil he has to consistently get better this year and next year score at least 17 or 20 goals

If he scores 20 goals we'll have him back thanks. Pep must soften his heart of stone.

That was a tremendous goal, controlling a high cross and surrounded by 4 inter players! Bojan should play more in the box, he is wasted in the wings.

I agree. Good dribbler when he has space, but even better around the box and poaching, its his bread and butter. This is really the problem at Barca... he's not able to play there enough. His very best football was in his first season replacing Eto'o and Messi and in the season where he displaced Ibra. Both generally he played centrally.

I feel for Bojan to prove himself to play for Pep he needs to do something like this:
2011/12: Rotater, +10 goals.
2012/2013: Starter. +17 goals.

I believe all 4 goals came from substitute appearances too, he has really failed to shine when he was given a chance to start.

He's also never really got a run of games. So I don't think you can say he's not great as a starter. Generally when he's started he's been thrown in merely to replace someone for a week almost with the knowledge that he'll be back on the bench the next.

It doesn't bother me where he scores his goals from, but how many he scores and how efficient he is. From what I've seen he's been hot and cold, at times he's been one of their brightest players, at others he's been woeful and a scapegoat. In some ways I think this is good, because its a sign of youth, he should grow out of it. He'll grow up, grow mentally stronger... and hopefully be more consistent.

Its surprising he's scored 4 from 33 shots... he's normally a great finisher when he's confident, this suggests to me he hasn't settled yet and isn't completely confident with his role. What we want back is a Bojan that takes his chances.

Bojan also got an assist on the first goal and sent a great defense splitting throughball to leave another player (can't remember which) 1-1 with the keeper, but he couldn't finish.

Bojan is having a period of rejuvenation right now. Playing as a creative influence behind the striker he's slowly becoming a key player for Milan. Links very well with El Sharaawy.

Once again he is proving that given consistent time and trust he can be an excellent player. Hasn't been scoring goals but he's been Milan's best player last three games in many ways. Looking very good and should continue to improve and goals should come. That being said I don't think he'll have a prolific season as their are few providers in the Milan side right now, the type of player he enjoys feeding off. However, he's using his talents in other ways to their benefit.

Likely he won't return now I guess, but I'm following him closely and wish him luck. If he continues this form for the rest of the season, Barca have a serious decision to make at least.

Pretty much what I felt he needed to do to have any chance of future success, drop into the midfield - he simply isn't cut out as a striker in world football

But even in the midfield, he'd never get a minute of playing time here...Hope he builds on his recent performances...and loses those droopy eyes

??? For real?

Kid is a perfect striker. He just needs service. He's an incredibly clinical finisher when he has rhythm and his movement off the defensive line is superb.

Yeah, I think that experiment is over...When he was still at Barça, I was already suggesting he drop into midfield as he didn't have the right makeup for a striker...He's a quality player who surely can bang in the goals but as an outright #9?...Not at a big club

He's got great technique, can pass well and understands how to use space in that final third owing to his Barcelona DNA so it was inevitable that he could/should drop into midfield...He just wouldn't be able to get many minutes at this club doing it anyway

Better dribbler, passer and finisher than Alexis.

Would rather have him.

Completely agreed.

If he keeps this up for the entire season you said correctly that Barca will have a decision to make.

Sorry gents but Bojan is a Milanista now. He said himself that he wants to stay here for many years. Given his current form, it will be hard for Milan to give him back. Hopefully Galliani and Berlusconi don't eff this up and we buy him outright.

seems bojan is a better AM, or a playmaker than winger. lot of chances our team has been making lately is coming from Bojan.

Watched Milan - Malaga game. Bojan was ok, not really good, but not bad. Which in this Milan team, that's being one of their best performers as most of the team sucks big time.

If Milan has to rely in Bojan as an AM.... a sign of how far they've declined. Bojan is nothing out of ordinary in creating chances, distributing play, passing or dribling, generally key attributes for an AM. Still, he is probably their best option at AM, unless SES can play there or Robinho stops being crap. Definitely beter option than KPB.
