thats 1 player, him and Asamoah are the only way Udinese can win, Beleck if he would be able to step up but come on, how the hell can their defense cope with our speed (Walcott) , trickery (Gervinho), midfield (Fab,Wilsh,Song) ?

Napoli doesn't have Arab money. Their owner is Italian, and Inler cost them just over £10,000,000.

So we're at home first? Strange. I thought we'd be home second by virtue of being seeded.

Nonetheless, we should get through. As has been pointed out, Udinese have lost Sanchez, Inler and Zapata. We know they're going to come and play on the counter against us at the Emirates, so it's up to us to break them down. With Cesc this is more than acheiveable.

Our record against Italian teams is excellent, as well. Can't remember the last time we lost to an Italian side.

Hmmm Udinese!
Not bad...

I mean I truly think it won't be that hard a test, they'll definately give us a run for our money, but we really must beat them over 2 matches and go through!

Udinese don't play 5 defenders, its 3 defenders with 2 wing-backs. Sorry, i should have made that clear.

I have never watched Udinese play.. But goal.com scared me with their poll and stupid articles saying that what we feared happened...
Interesting to see from the threads here in general section... Most of the fans terribly underrate italian clubs and it seems like a guaranteed result for us..
Whats your opinion friends ?

It's been more than a decade since Arsenal were lost knocked out by an Italian side.

In the last decade or so, we've played 14 games against Italian teams; won 6, drawn 5, lost 3.

We've played three Italian teams in the knockout phase in the last decade - Juventus, AC Milan and Roma - and have progressed each time.

Our record against Italian oppostion gives me confidence.

Serie A does not start until 28 August, so Udinese preparation should be 2 weeks behind Arsenal. Was a factor in Thun overcoming Palermo.

Italian football expert Paddy Agnew says the Arsenal-Udinese tie will be over after the 1st leg.

Agnew: "Udinese were a terrific side last season, but that was because of a guy called Sanchez, a guy called Inler and a guy called Zapata"

you guys worry too much, I watch serie A quite often, and Udinese is not that good. They play really sloppy and try to counter allot which leaves them open often. We will win 4-1 on aggregate

its MUCH better then getting Kazan or Odense.

Udinese try to play football, and im quite sure we will do the job over the 2 legs

hopefully its something like 4 or 5-0 in the 1st leg so we can rest many in the 2nd

We'll win it. Udinese is a selling team and they pretty much shot themselves in the foot for any sort of hope for CL qualification. Who sells 3 key players when you have just reached the CL? Laughing
