Well yeah, but that's because Di Vaio is a mere mortal, while Podolski is basically a taller, stronger Messi who doesn't do tricks because he doesn't need or want to.

Also Podolskis shots with his left can kill a yak from two hundred yards away. FACT.

I love how they claim Neuer as a Bayern player in this poll by not posting an alternate club next to his votes tally, yet a decent portion of this award was probably granted because of two masterclasses against Bayern (first Bundesliga encounter, DFB Pokal), and they still list Schürrle as a player of Mainz 05 rather than Bayer Leverkusen despite the same exact situation Laughing

So much love for Podolski on this site. What a shame that his own club doesn't look as highly upon him as everyone else does.

I don't know what happened at Köln, but tbh I think by now Podolski probably has more pull with the fans and the leadership than Solbakken has, so it could be a risky move, but I can actually imagine that Poldi was asked and then voluntarily gave up the armband. He's not really a leader, I mean he'll get people pumped and motivated, but he doesn't give tactical advice, that's not his schtick.
