Bob Bradley Fired
I honestly don't know if their are any fellow Yanks operating on this sight, but oh well, I'm rejoicing like crazy and I need the world to hear it.
Bob Bradley is out.

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
Hire a southamerican manager. America has enough ethnic minorities who are genuinely interested in "sakker" to carry them to the gloryland. They are like France times a hunnid!

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
Is it because you always lose to Mexico? Because you almost won the Confederations and did very nicely in the WC.

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
Bradly is very simple minded manager with no vision to improve the squad. He does not use tactics that complement or highlight the abilities of the players.

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
Actually we've had the upper hand on Mexico until very recently, winning the Gold Cup that allowed entrance into the SA Confederations Cup and the top spot in CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. I doubt that the recent Gold Cup result had much to do with this decision, this current Mexico squad is very potent.Sushi Master wrote:Is it because you always lose to Mexico? Stagnation is the reason that I am happy that Bob will be relieved of his duties.

That's... actually I solid choice. I completely forgot he lived in the states.
He's a mediocre German coach, but at least better than most local ones.

USA have been wanting Jurgann since the dawn of dinosaurs.
I don't really see another candidate.. other then the RSL coach. Klein iirc.

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
I should point out that Bradley is not a bad coach in the slightest, he had just done all he could for us...he effectively reached his glass ceiling with U.S soccer at the World Cup
He's great at coaching the underdog, not so great at playing the favorite, and the USMNT wants to make the next step
I'm thankful for what he's done for us, it was just time to move on

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
Oh and for the record if I could the coach of my choice it would be Bielsa, but with Gulati as pres of the federation there was never a chance of that happening
I give Klinsmann my seal of approval though

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
Much respect to Bob and his accomplisents, but I'm staunchly against two-terms for a coach and a wall was visibly hit.
Just reading through some speculation, Jurgen is far and away the favorite to get the job (I'm not going to get my hopes up), which would be a nice choice. Jason Kries is only in his late 30's, if he continues his success with Salt Lake he'll undoubtedly get a chance in one of the next couple cycles after this one, but I think right now is too early.
Bielsa is now with Athletic Club.

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
Trap has done wonders with a skill set of players that is probably lower than the US players. Steal him.
Klinsmann will not do well at all. He coached a very talented group of players, he won't have that in the US. Sorry.

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
I hope Gulati warns Klinsmann what he's in for. Spit, Beer, Piss, Sh*t, Batteries in Mexico. No Sleep, Raucous throughout the night in their hotel in El Salvador. and how can we forget..flying armbars and elbows and a lot of hosility in Guatemala.
This will be a totally new beast for Klinsmann

Re: Bob Bradley Fired
The wave of rumors suggest it is basically a guarantee that it will be a foreign coach
"Available" coaches: Klinsmann, Van Gaal, O'Neill, Lippi, Ancelotti.
