We will never ever ever ever live it down on the forums. The egg will not be on my face, I'm not willing to make a judgement on him until I see him, firstly, play a game and ,secondly, show a great level of consistency when he eventually starts playing.

As much as you could hype him, you never know, he could be a pending flop of the century....

I'm in no rush, we don't want another Kaka situation, plus is we ease him in it'll relieve some pressure. I say Sahin is a 2 to 3 year project. His type of midfielder needs games to get into high gear. having said that Ozil's type supposedly needed games too...

I'm also afraid of that. He has alot pressure on him at the moment, just bought and is showing signs of injury-proness. I still think Sahin can become great for the club. I think Dortmund vs Bayern was one of his best games and he showed some true skills.

Good vision, good passer and good technique, and he can pass really good under pressure, he can give a long pass even if 3 guys are pressuring him at the same time.

We survived the cluster f*ck that is Kaka. I'm sure we'll manage

He said Sahin will be back in two weeks. Im sure we can wait that, and another even if he can get to 100% fitness. Then we ease him in using playing time. Who cares if he isnt as good as hyped, we paid 10 mil for him. Yes, we hyped him up and have been eagerly awaiting his return, but at least we wont feel cheated if he flopps like a certain Kaka did...

If people react the same way they do with every real, then he will be pressured.

I have seen people on the forum going from calling Coentrao better than Khedira, ideal partner for Alonso, main obstacle for Sahin, during the preseason, to label him a flop signing, not a DM/CM, worse than marcelo etc.. after a single game.

Truth is, not many are knowledgeable about those players before they come to Madrid, and every single heart beat is analyzed to ridiculous extent because they need to act as if they know him.

He is going to work, he is not injury prone from the length of his career so far, and we will see how it goes. As long as he is fit, i am pretty sure he will perform.

If he brings his Dortmund form he'll be a smash hit. I guarantee it.

If Alonso manages to master his strange DM playmaker role, Sahin is at top form and Ozil demonstrates how he can help out in the midfield like recently, our mid is actually pretty damn good.

For now all we need from Sahin is to regain his form, it will be tough on him since he hasn't played in months and remember the team is still new to him.

I think we'll need him by January when we'll need heavy rotation to maintain form!

As long as Sahin takes it easy spends a month getting form and fitness back by playing small minutes we can be set for a huge impact for the end of the season

I have no idea what to expect from Sahin, maybe seen him play like twice for Dortmund.. Way too busy to watch more than 1 league these days.. Where do you guys think he will fit in? Will Khedira lose his starting spot? Who will provide the "steel" in the midfield if he, Ozil and Alonso are all on the pitch?

Maybe Di Maria gets benched?
