What about sami k. I don't think he'll enjoy being 2nd to Nuri after starting the whole season pretty much.

Meh, he already said he wont mind not starting so many games as long as he gets the chance to fight for it. Eventually sahin will replace alonso not sahin.

Different matches will have us starting different lineups and different tactics in hand. Sahin won't be starting over Khedira every single match.

Such squad depth is essential in a team's season campaign, especially if the team's aims are sky high.
