Rummenigge: Purshases are over
Bayern Munich legend Karl-Heinz Rummeniggue announced there will be no more signings at the Allianz Arena this summer.
The Bavarians have spent €41m on new players in the current window, securing the services of Manuel Neuer, Rafinha, Nils Petersen, Jerome Boateng and Takashi Usami.
Following that investment, the executive board chaiman believes his squad is complete, even though the Bavarians failed to land target Arturo Vidal.
"With Neuer, Boateng, Rafinha and Usami we have completed our transfer campaign. The purchases are over," the former striker told Bild.
Rummenigge also had his say on Vidal's transfer to Juventus.
"He [Vidal] chose the best club that suits him."
The former Germany international did not rule out the possibility of an exit for some of Bayern's players, with Brazilian centre-half Breno reportedly on the radar of Lazio.

Re: Rummenigge: Purshases are over
Personally, I'm a little worried. Not signing Vidal wasn't the end of the world, but if we're not spending that money IMO, I'd use it on further defensive signings.
Sure, our defensive mistakes keep on occuring, but we're only half way through the preseason and haven't played Boateng yet... but I still sence a weakness. I thought the Alex rumors were true, but it seems that sadly, they are not. Our CBs are still very inexperienced, apart from van Buyten. Heynckes has a lot to do.
If Breno leaves to Lazio, we're also losing a pretty good prospect. Our only direct CB backup would be, *gasp* van Buyten

Van Buyten is shit, Badstuber is shit, another mistake not signing experience defender..
Boeteng isn't good enough trust, another big mistake by this stupi board.
They promise to spend 60million and now they have only spent 40, wats wrong with this people..

Boateng is good enough, but he isn't experienced. Bayern should sign one or two more class players, and one of them should be an experienced CB.
Doesn't even have to be a world class one, just soneome who's been around the block.
Is this Demichelis guy for sale?

Heh. It's funny that all the players we sold (Hummels, Lúcio, Demichelis) are exactly the type we need right now.
I still say go for Mertesacker. Only 1 year left in his contract, experienced, NT... come on Nerlinger.

Demichelis still should've been sold, I wasn't serious about him, but you guys should've kept Lucio and Hummels.
Lol, imagine Hummels + Lucio as your CB pairing with Lahm and Rafinha on the flanks. Hard already?

Still hard, actually.
Hummels I can admit was a wild card at the time, but with how good Bayern's youth was at the time, I can't imagine how they did not see the potential in him.
Now, letting Lúcio go was blasphemy. Not just because of his defensive abilities, but he is a real leader on the pitch.

Yeah, that's an optimistic view
Following the patterns, we should theoretically win the Buli and maybe the Pokal. CL with that defense will be near impossible, but well, hopefully Heynckes does his magic.
I would love for us to play the CL final at home.
