The booing might be related to his betting scandal, and the whole world cup snub thing. He claimed that the ban was rushed out in order to prevent him from playing in the world cup, or something along those lines.

I’m not suggesting that he’s wrong, I do not care about any of it -  but I do remember reading the comments below the article about that scandal, and some people didn’t seem to appreciate that he was hinting at racism/conspiracy/whatever.

The past few years, our problem (Spain) was there were no real difference making players and now we have three: Rodri, Nico and Yamal. Plus I suspect Pedri and Gavi will be that. Then you have incredible play from Carvajal, Cucurella, Ruiz, Olmo and decent play from Le Normal, Laporte, Nacho, Unai Simon and Morata. Plus, thanks to Yamal and Nico, this team is more direct than Spain has ever been. Overall, I believe we should now be considered favourites. But I do think Germany and Portugal or France will be tough games. If we survive those games, we can then say Spain is back!
