If we manage to go through, come to think it definitely will want Roma, for revenge n to play vs Mou again would be so dramatic

I imagine Rashford will play there against Barca. His speed will cause issues for Sergi Roberto. Sancho seems to blow hot and cold for Man United, but he could also cause Sergi a lot of issues if he decides to dribble a lot. It would be interesting if Xavi were to do something unexpected, like utilizing Dembele as a wingback

If everyone is fit the backline will more likely be: Kounde-Araujo-Alonso/Christensen-Balde/Alba or something (Roberto will be nowhere near starting)

Lol, what a woeful record... n remember some EPL fans used to say its the best league by far n that La Liga is a joke, was it Firenze? Although there must have been lots of them... still remember there were also a few who used to say Messi cant cut it vs EPL teams, until he started absolutely blitzing them starting with Arsenal I believe it was.

I remember Bilbao baked them at old Trafford in that europa league tie. It should have been a huge scoreline. The excuse people used at the time was that utd players were not interested in playing the europa league (I think it was the first time in a long time that they played that tournament).

Anyway rooting for united to win this tie, for obvious reasons

After watching the game I was like it doesn't matter we r still top of the table. Then they showed the standings on the screen. I was flabbergasted, it's like the media focused so much on barca's experience in Europe I almost forgot they've been gaining points in the league

Shouldnt Arsenal be the favs? In fact they are according to the bookies, followed closely by us n then Man U, then a long way off Juve...

dunno why but feeling a bit like arrogant Mou here, dont really care if we win it or not its just very much a second rate trophy, as much as we all dont like it? Wouldnt mind seeing CR win it just to see what his reaction would be, would he even celebrate? Or even Mou win it again with Roma, see him brag about it like a real trophy

However it goes, at least its much better quality teams this time n actually worth watching.

Martinez is suspended for the first game apparently, Eriksen is injured, above will almost certainly be the lineup, perhaps Sabitzer over Fred but I doubt it

we're also pretty weak with bench options

Sabitzer looked good whenever I seen him play for Bayern I thought, didnt even Man U got him ffs...

That lineup above though seems too attacking? Cos most teams that play vs us know u need to defend quite a lot n be able to deal with our press, unless u just park n counter.

For us Kessie instead of Busquets n Raphinha instead of Dembele are obvious downgrades, but everyone seems to be on form n we been winning so much. Im not sure if its down to just Xavi finally selecting the right team or the teams in Liga just kinda suck especially up front meaning we dont concede goals anymore somehow Cant help but feel Man U will be much different?

Raphinha I noticed doesnt have the pace or skill to be an actual winger, more like a play maker on the right n a hard worker in general making runs into the box. His link with with the rest of the teams has been fine to watch though. Pedri n Gavi been running riot but not sure if they can do that vs Casemiro n Varane around who iirc used to bully them
