1. Our defense was seriously disappointing, but with Agger, Skrtel, and Glen out today (not to mention our starting DM Lucas) you can't really read too much into it.
2. When our backups were in (first half) we were unable to put together an attack, and the only player who might be first choice this season from that group (AA) looked fairly good.
3. The players who did play which could be first choice at points this season looked quite good, were unlucky not to score, and meshed well together, especially the new additions.
Overall, doesn't sound like such a bad outing to me. Scorelines are pretty irrelevant in preseason.
1. Without a keeper too.
Sounds about right.

We played a reserve side in the first half, and Everyone except Aquilani and Robinson were absolutely shocking.
Then second half we played more first teamers and were totally dominant, until they scored a goal on the counter (bad defending by Wilson and Insua) .. We were very unlucky not to score that half.
Henderson, Downing, Carroll and Flanagan were our best players IMO

No cohesion simply.TBH apart from Kuyt and Carra no one was played yesterday was a regular for us last season. Also Hull were in much better shape fitness wise as championship starts much sooner than PL.So we weren't upto speed with them particularly in defense where we were laboured at times.
First half was really dire.We were much better in the 2nd half though attacking wise.

In the second half, yeah. You could add Robbo and AA to that list aswell.
