Liverpool vs Hull
Time to forget the Real game, Dreading the return leg but that's for another time.
So basically lets delve straight into the team news.
Hull team news: The Arsenal game was pretty disastrous even though Hull got a draw.
Basically we need to keep an eye on legend Diame and Hernandez.
Liverpool team news: Nothing new, Crossing of every day until Danny is fit. Suso and Flanagan can be discussed only in December. Sakho needs another week, Not that it matters.
Manquillo will come in for Gleno.
We cant drop Balo, We just can't. Let him take the next penalty.
We win this we go into the top4.

- Their first choice keeper McGregor and Harper both are out. Some dude called Jakupovic will start.
- Michael Dawson is also out.
- Jelavic is a massive doubt.
- Snodgrass is a long term absentee

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
Play the Italians up top and we have a chance.
Or drop Balotelli and play Lambert.
No point playing Mario as a lone CF. It doesn't do Mario any favours, and more importantly it doesn't help Liverpool as a team either.
Can't see us keeping a clean sheet against anyone, and we have no firepower up top anymore... whatever happens just get the 3 points.

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
I would like to see a few players rested for this game if I'm honest.
Either way I'm confident we'll get a result here.
Manquillo-Skrtel-Lovren-Enrique
Henderson-Allen
Markovic-Coutinho-Lallana
Borini

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
no f**** rest for anyone, if you want drop Gerrard. I would let Lucas start and see how he does. Lucas playing with another two midfielders, i wanna see how we perform defensively.
Either start Borini or Balotelli or I would try once again both of them together. We have to somehow make Balo perform, he has that brilliance, we just need to be patient till he gets his shite together and perform for us. If Gerrard doesnt start, I would let Balo take the penalty.

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
Forgotten striker Samed Yesil was pictured training with the Liverpool first-team on Thursday as the Reds prepare for their Premier League clash with Hull City.
Yesil, 20, has become something of a forgotten figure amongst fans, the German striker was signed in 2012 in a £1 million deal from Bayer Leverkusen.
The striker was highly-rated, with many expecting the German to feature in the first-team very quickly and often after signing for Liverpool.
However, Yesil has made two appearances for Liverpool since joining the club. The forward made his debut against West Brom in the League Cup third round, starting against the Baggies.
Yesil then made his second Liverpool appearance against Swansea in the fourth round of the League Cup, since then the striker has not appeared for the first-team.
Furthermore, in his first season at Liverpool, the youngster ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament on international duty with Germany’s Under-19, the striker was then out for rest of the season. The injury arguably regressed the ability of the youngster, meaning he is now playing catch up.
However, on Thursday, the striker trained with the Liverpool first-team, suggesting that Brendan Rodgers has been keeping an eye out on him.
ohhh yes, yes, yes he is coming

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
Yeah definitely wouldn't mind giving it a go. Yesil might just have a chance of kickstarting his career with us.
In hindsight, wish we had kept Hodzic.

Huddlestone and Robertson are also decent doubts for this game. We couldnt play them at a better time than this tbh.
Edit: Huddlestone looks set to make it.

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
Hull are a decent team and have some players who on a good day can be top-class players. I'm a little worried about this match. Hopefully their 3rd-choice keeper will gift us a goal or two since we are finding scoring so difficult.
I'm hoping that Can would start, maybe even rest Henderson. Balotelli needs another forward up there - if he's going to even start.
My line-up would be:

#LFC team v Hull: Mignolet, Manquillo, Moreno, Skrtel, Lovren, Can, Gerrard, Allen, Lallana, Sterling, Balotelli
Why would you bench Coutinho and Henderson!

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
I agree about benching Henderson, he has looked like in need of a rest, but Coutinho on the bench is a major
I also hope Sterling will be playing striker and Balotelli isn't yet again the lone CF...
I'll be honest, I'm not feeling easy at all about this game.

Henderson's tired but 34 yr old Gerrard playing every game 90 mins isnt?
Coutinho needed a rest? He didnt start against QPR, He didnt play 90 mins against Madrid?
BR pls

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
A pretty boring first-half.
Can is looking good, Allen is not, and we still look like we're playing without goal threat.
The sooner Coutinho comes on the better.

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
Jesus, Lallana's passing is so bad. His only creativity comes from his dribbling. Couldn't pass accurately 10 yards to save his life let alone make a creative throughball. If you mark him tight, which is what Hull are doing, he's like Downing 2.0 in terms of attackign liability.
Allen is horrible also today. He clearly doesn't have any match sharpness atm.
Get Coutinho on ffs. This game is so open, can't believe we didn't create a single decent opportunity.
Can has been great. Raheem needs to do more, been invisible. Gerrard is just walking around.
At least the defenders playing decent fro a change.

That would have been a good performance had we actually scored a goal or two. But we don't do that shit.

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
wtf was Rodgers thinking with benching Coutinho. He's clearly our best player at the moment. He has been great ever since the international break.
Rodgers is terrible at this rotating business. You would think a thin squad is exactly his strength where there is no thinking involved but to play his best XI.

Leaving Coutinho on the bench was indeed baffling. Every man and his dog could see that he's in terrific form and he showed it again today after coming on.

Re: Liverpool vs Hull
BR is too naive. You know Hull is going to play 5 at the back and you know that a 4-3-3 isnt working. But you go on and play 4-3-3 and get completely neutralized.
They had a 5 man backline, Raheem Lallana and Balo were too far apart. No interplay between them. It didnt work at all. BR still went with the formation that helps Balo get more and more isolated.
They marked us out man to man, Our best chances came once we played two uptop ( Both average strikers who should be nowhere near the starting 11 on form ) and got the best player Coutinho from the bench on ( which i vented upon earlier) as a sub around the 60th.
He actually said the defense was strong
They were without 5 regular starters ffs. We cant even beat Hull at Anfield and we are satisfied with a clean sheet.
This team is as good as Spurs without Sturridge and that's very very worrisome considering a number of factors wrt to our opponents.
We cant have the attitude that "Everything's gonna be ok once Sturridge comes back".

Rodgers is blaming everything else but his own system. He's gone into ultra defensive paranoia mode. Stubbornly trying to deflect any sort of blame for his own shortcoming onto anything else.
