Liked the connection Dani-Asensio-Modric/Valverde had on that right side. Too bad we can't see that type of intricate play between Kroos-Vini-Mendy because one has the skills of a donkey the other a 1v1 player and the third a pass and stay in your spot kind of player.

Nacho did really well btw. I still think Nacho will have a huge game as a CB against PSG

Mendy could NEVER cross.  In fact, at Lyon, he stopped crossing altogether for a while because he just couldn't...  he's a beast defensively.  That's why you play him and his role.  If you want him to suddenly become something he's not, then expect to be disappointed.

Honestly, Kroos and Casemiro having no offensive bite to them whatsoever is the bigger issue.  And the fact that Carvajal isn't doing much these days either offensively or defensively.  At least Mendy literally locks down his side defensively.

Kroos has been key to our success. but he is out of form. badly. Our midfield is dead. we can't get out of any press from any team. we can't rely on Courtis and Benzema to save our ass forever.

There comes a time to replace the former "greats". and i think this is the time. Kroos may find form again. just like Casemiro. but as of now, they are far from their best.

I don't rate Ceballos. but right now i think it might be better if we play him instead of Kroos.

I don't doubt it. Suspension and a possible injury is forcing his hands now. We go through and he'll HAVE to break up the trident.

Problem is, who do you bench? Modric and Kroos have played out of their skins this season and Casemiro without the ball is an absolute monster. All i know is that they should never play together. One of them has to sit

Kroos and its a easy decision. He's way too slow, can't press, and can't pass the ball forward. Everyone hypes him up for his 95 percent passing completion on who scored when 99 percent of his passes are back to the defense.

Give us Fede Cama Modric and let's start a new generation of midfield. Next season should be Fede Case and Cama and there would be endless pressing

Even if KCM are at their good form, they don't have the legs. football is changing by minute. In midfield you need pace and strengh. Modric and Kroos get beat everytime they are in 50/50 situation and fighting for the ball.

fending off Kroos and Modric is way too easy for the opposition. and with them alongside Casemiro pressing high is impossible.

Thanks to Ancelotti our backup midfielders, who happen to be young also, have not been getting enough minutes to be fully ready for a big game like against PSG. but anything is better than what we did in the first leg. that should have been 4-0. not 1-0.

So either

1. We play Kroos who won't be 100 percent as single pivot which is a death sentence

2. Sacrifice camavinga and play him as DM. He was great this past weekend as a CM next to Casemiro. He won't be as effective.

3. Do something wild like play Fede or Alaba there

Knowing Carlo he won't do anything extraordinary. He'll just put Kroos there if he is fit or Cama if Kroos isnt fit.

I'd rather Kroos doesn't play. Benz played unfit in the first leg and didn't play well, Kroos will also play terirble if he's rushed back

Looks like both Kroos and Mbappé will be fit for the game.

I hope Madrid goes through as leaving the competition in the round of 16 is pretty disappointing. But if they give the same performance they did in the first leg then they deserve to get knocked out.

I think Madrid win... PSG is a mess in transition and doesn't defend well as a result.  With Cama and Valverde, we'll break that.

Edit:  Oh so Kroos is playing.  Well, not the best thing.  PSG struggle with athletic mids.  Have an easier time with slow-playing ones.

I thought I made a post about our perceived quality and the concept about perceived quality to ceiling. But I didn't which is a shame because that's the reason why we won today. No way we losing to psg with Carlo at the helm.1st lwg was unfortunate but as you all saw we immediately rectified that. Today we hit near our ceiling and psg didn't hit theirs.

Also pochettino is a donkey. That clown Brendan Rodgers has more rocks in his brain than poch. Hopefully this spells the end for pochettino in the big leagues.

I will repeat what I said . We're not as strong as we used to be but the good news is nobody except liverpool has reached or came close to it. It will definitely be tougher but if on our day, I am confident we will triumph over anyone. It won't be as pretty and there be games where it will be tooth and nail. But otherwise. Never count real madrid out of the fight.

I only concern myself with liverpool. The rest aren't worth the salt or bark.
