question: how long do you all give valverde and camavinga before they can tie up regular starter positions? next year, 2 years etc...? in valverde's case, he's already 23, if by 25 ure still being used as a utility or rotational player at madrid, chances are that's going to be ure permanent role. what do you guys think? can they be starters by next season? when do you think they can hit their peak?

I think he should've been loaned out to a club that can, at least, promise a good chance of nailing down a starting spot for them based on how he performs. The club could then decide to pull him back or sell him based on his development, like they did with Casemiro. That seems like the most obvious, best decision to make for his development as a player.

From Real Madrid's perspective, they need him as a bench option right now, and that might be a higher, immediate priority than seeing him reach his potential as a player. Only speculation, but I'm guessing that's the reason why he hasn't been loaned out. We don't have a lot of solid alternatives off the bench.

Looking at our game last night i think there are 2 key areas we must improve next season. 1 is RW that has been a problem for years. with Mbappe coming i think that gets solved.
another is Modric-Case-kroos which together can be fantastic at their good day but their good day won't come against world class opponents who are strong and fast in the middle of the pitch.
so as for solution i think Modric have to be benched next season. we need someone faster and stronger there if Kroos and Case are to play. 3 of them are slow and don't have the legs to play against world class opponents and dominate.

people talk about pressing and playing fast football being overrated or whatever but lets be honest right now that's the way to play football if you want to be the best.

what Bayern, City, Liverpool and Chelsea have in common? they don't let you breathe when you have the ball. us? we sit relaxed and hope for the best lol.

We play every 3 days until the end of December. I wont judge these players if they come out scraping wins here and there.

We had a terrible second half i agree. But we had what? 3 days between this and the Sevilla game? Not to mention we'll only have 3 days between this and the LaReal game and then 3 days to the Inter gane and so on and so forth

This fixture congestion is killing our players. None of the games gives us the luxury to rotate unfortunately

No it's not. Bilbao had 2 extra days to rest before this game. We are the only top team that have a LaLiga game this week. None of Atleti, Barca, Sevilla etc have their game in hand this week.

And look at the teams we are facing every 3 days.

Anyway Carlo needs to trust the bench more and rotate. I'm not saying to rotate 6-7 players every match but at least 1 mid and 1 defender

Jovic just runs straight down the middle lol.  no change of speed, no fake, nothing.  He just runs up and down like a robot.  Hopefully, he changes that.

He can poach and is great in the air. That's where you need to play Jovic.

There are two guys with opportunities in this game; Rodrygo and Jovic, actually three with Camavinga coming on. Rodrygo steadily improving, not there yet but his opportunity is to develop enough to be a reliable sub, behind Mbappe. Jovic doing well despite initial invisible minutes. He needs to demonstrate he can be a reliable backup to Benz. Camavinga needs to show he can rotate with either Modric or Casemiro.

Mbappe will not play on the right.  He will demand to go central (but Benz is there) or left.  So don't even think about that position for him.  

He flat refused to play on the right after his first 5 months at PSG.  He might go there once in a while... but his position is playing the inside left forward so he can cut to his strong foot (his right foot).  That's where he plays for France and has scored 7 goals and made 4 assists in his last 4 games with France NT alongside Benzema.  That includes games against Belgium and Spain, where he scored 2 and assisted 2.

He will absolutely play nothing else and it will be promised to him without any compromise.  Bank on it. Or else he wouldn't come. And for a player like Mbappe, you give him whatever he wants.

we are a tough team to beat, but are now very comfortable in the final third and dont get too reliant on crosses from kroos like last season...this might be a good time to heap some praise on uncle flo for bringing vini on board, its like evey year the kid adds something to his repertoire

And you expect Vinicius to go to a backup role after finally delivered on his promise! They will find a way to play Mbappe, Vinicius and Benz. Mark my words!

It’s no longer a sure thing that Mbappe will come with Zidane rumors. If that holds up they will put everything into a Haaland purchase. And right away you again have the position problem. And once again they will find a way to play Vinicius, Benz and Haaland. If there ever was a CF capable of playing or alternating another forward position, it would be Benzema!

And before you say Flo doesn’t have the money, consider 1. How well this season is turning out to be and 2. There is a lot of high priced dead weight being shed next summer (Bale, Hazard, Isco, Marcelo)

Vini is the least accomplished by far of the 3 if Mbappe comes. Even if Haaland comes. So, like Benz and Mbappe did when Benz compromised for CR and Mbappe compromised for Neymar/Cavani…. Vini will have to find a way to be effective on the right.

If Haaland comes, not sure Benz stays. Benz, at his age, can only play CF.
