Catching up on the highlights, it looks like Spurs were.... wide open? How very un-Mou-like. Mountains of space between the lines. If you're going to start Dier as a CB you need to protect him with a bus.
Also pool scored some absolute screamers, high quality goals.

In midfield, yes.
Certainly now Klopp goes into the market. How are we supposed to defend the Premier league with this financial support?

Its funny how people accrue a lot of City's success to Pep, when the team is 3billion in worth and the most stacked in the PL
Same story with Bayern
Pep hasn't won a CL since 2011
Its 2021
He isn't some CL aficionado and attributing him as a league winner is misleading
The only thing for sure is he is Bald

The money is showing now this season. Liverpool are knee deep trying to field a competitive 11 each week without using the academy players while City are losing WC players and replacing them with 50m signings from the bench.

When Firmino is responsible for helping bury Mou, we're on the same team

Are they still refusing to spend the Coutinho money?

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
So much for that Spurs title challenge.
Though I can't completely take the piss out of that claim. Very volatile PL season. It feels like every month we are talking about a new favorite. Right now, City's new 3-4-3 seems to have improved their attacking, even though their finishing is still shit. Liverpool is getting decimated by injuries. Needing to start Fabinho and Henderson as your CB's ffs. City had something similar with needing to start Rodri and Fernandinho as CB's last season. Losing your key CB's is such a blow especially when van Dijk is the best CB in the world. Not sure why Klopp is content with working with a stingy board. Conte would've left after one season if he had to deal with FSG.

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
City is winning it to that I have no doubt. I wont say they were my initial favourite for I favoured LFC for the title since day 1 of this season but I could not predict this collapse that happened to us and it wont get too much better.
Spurs or Chelsea always was a bad prediction and so is United despite their current position.
I did see Pep making a late surge for the title and of course this Pep-hating forum has not mentioned the brilliant subtle changes he made to do that.
Unlucky for LFC with the injuries and what not but Ive no problem conceding for what is by far the worst PL season of all time. No one will remember City's win bar City fans themselves.

You know a City challenge might be a reality when the "muh billionz" posts come out. It's okay guys. It's still early. We don't need to find excuses to justify why them winning the PL isn't impressive yet. Let's wait until April.

I agree. It's definitely the worst PL season. I underestimated the impact the shortened break would have. Constant injuries and COVID absences have hurt the teams. Depth is key which is why City seems to be leading right now. Again, I don't understand why your board won't sign another CB.
City were looking like they'd implode, but Dias has transformed their defense. He has Stones looking competent ffs. Cancelo tucking into midfield (which has freed Gundogan), and him playing a false 9 instead has also helped their attacking play. Either way it's still early. Last month City looked subpar now they're looking like title winners. It could very well change next month.

Schrodingers Pep: simultaneously a bald fraud for mis spending hundreds of millions on average CBs and inevitably winning the PL because he has used hundreds of millions to stack his team
Besides kdb, do they even have 1 world class player?

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
The Cancelo move to liberate Gündogan is the key move as I see it. Cancelo generally is a weak player despite being rather skilled but having the latter in a role similar to what he had in Dortmund (albeit a little more advanced) has refreshed originally a stale midfield this season and a lot more variety in attack. It isn't revolutionary and teams are losing as a result of the tactical surprise and one they will soon adapt to but it should give the title just enough.
And Pep has always been bad in buying CBs. Chygrynskiy anyone? That'll never change.

Gone from being PL champions to praying that we get Mustafi, Klopp also said VVD and Gomez are out for the entire season but I don't trust his words during transfer talks. When will it end Robbie?
